Universal has announced 1-disc DVD ($29.98), 2-disc DVD ($34.98), and 2-disc Blu-ray ($39.98) releases of Coraline for the 21st July. Each edition will include 2-D and 3-D versions of the film, along with four pairs of 3-D glasses. The only extra material on the 1-disc DVD will be a commentary with director Henry Selick and Composer Bruno Coulais. The 2-disc releases will include that, along with deleted scenes, featurettes ("The Making of Coraline", "Voicing the Characters"), and a digital copy of the film. The Blu-ray release will also include an additional featurette ("Creepy Coraline"), as well as U-Control and BD-Live features.

I've been waiting for a release date for this ever since I left the theater. One of my favorite movies of the year so far, and I absolutely cannot wait to watch it on Blu-Ray.

Jeez, am I wrong or are these DVDs a touch pricier now? I guess in this case, it may be because of the 3-D

Even so, sweet. Coraline was fantastic and I'll totally pick this up when it hits. Good day for DVDs since this AND Watchmen will hit shelves on the same day.
