Looking at their wikipedia page, they were homeschooled by their mother and their father is a former Assembly of God Pastor. They're evangelicals. So either they're genuinely modest guys or they have a modest image to maintain. Whichever you want to go with, it makes sense that they wouldn't start high-fiving each other and motorboating their fans' boobs in public. :confused:

If anything this proves that he's not gay. Let's say that Joe Jonas is actually a homosexual, either he suspects that he's a homosexual or knows for sure, it's pretty obvious that he would hide this from pretty much everyone. The Jonas Brothers image relies heavily on their "family-friendly" persona, and unfortunately people would be quite peturbed if he were to come out. Not to mention he comes from a very close religous family, or so we're led to believe. For most gay men the latter point would be enough to make him afraid to come out. Add on the pressure of being a celebrity, multliple the aforementioned image to the equation, and I think it goes without saying that, if he's gay, Joe Jonas is keeping it a HUGE secret.

If so much is riding on the world thinking he's a hetrosexual, why would he make a video that so easily invites the suggestion that he's gay? If he was actually gay, and in denial - which seems likely given his religious upbringing, I truly believe he would be far too frieghtened to make a video that could be (and has been here) construed as queer.

I agree with BadCoverVersion, what this really shows is he's just comfortable with his sexuality. And also that he's a terrible dancer.

I'm going on a limb here and first off saying I'd only heard Jonas Bros from one episode of SNL and they were in the Night at the Museum: BOTS, but...

Based on SNL, I took the opinion that it's cool that these guys are so popular, because for so many years there has been so much kid-aimed music that is nothing but boy bands with lip synching, choreographed dancing --- I'm happy with the notion that these guys (along with their female counterpart Cyrus) are encouraging kids to pick up instruments.
