So I was just looking through my CDs and noticed I hadn't listened to that one American Head Charge CD I have in years. I got it back when it came out in 2001 (I was like 14 or 15), back when Slipknot was all the rage (never was a fan of them, btw). I've since broadened my horizons hugely and listen to "real" metal. Anyway, I decided I'd give it a listen, and surprisingly, it still sounds really damn good. Has this happened to anyone else lately?

Not familiar with them ^, but my roommate was playing one yesterday that came immediately to mind--Smashing Pumpkins Pisces Iscariot.

Wow, hadn't heard this one in like 12 years or so and it's fucking pretty amazing. I can't believe how psychedelic they used to be. And since this is an album of outtakes from Gish and Siamese Dream (you know, the good stuff) then it comes off like an awesome amalgam of both those records.

And after that is where they started to hardcore suck ass with that double CD Melloncollie bullshit.

I used to have a great collection of store bought CDs when I was 18 but some asshole broke into my car and took my radio and CD book, something like 325 cds gone in a flash, all purchased, this was before Napster of course.

Well out of those I would say thing like The Crow Soundtrack, NBK Soundtrack, any Jane's Addiction, Nirvana Nevermind, Pearl Jam Ten, and some KMFDM stuff still hold up pretty good. Also Tori Amos, well to be honest just about anything in that book would still hold up because I have awesome great taste in music.
