No, it is not a joke. I slept over his house when he was dying and when I work up my mom told me he died 20 minutes ago. I was sleeping in the same room 15 years and one day earlier when my grandma died in the same room. They she told me his last words were, "Transformers 2 is going to be EPIC." OK he did not say that, but he did say the night before he died something funny.

True story.
My grandpa is in his bed and we are all watching tv. I am flipping through the channels. The third Lord of the Rings is on and he never saw it before. It is at the part where Frodo is being attacked by Gollum before he throws the ring in. My grandpa looks at the tv and says, "What the fuck is this shit?" So I keep flipping through the channels and there is some show with hot chicks in bikinis. He smiled. It was very funny for a sad time.

Abbie- That fucking sucks, sorry dude.:(

I Regret....Wasting my chance to get with a smoking hot girl I used to know. She was allways splitting up and getting back together with her douche BF. So I was out this time, and she came in the clubs with a few friends. We hit it off pretty well and she asked if I wanted to go back to her place. I said no cause I thought this 'Break-up' was just gonna be temporary like usual, and I didn't want to get my ass kicked by her BF. Turns out they stayed apart and she got another guy like 6 months later. Fucking sucks

Thanks, he was an amazing man who lived a good life. My grandpa was the man who came up with the slogan for Thomas English Muffins. “nooks and crannies” He lead the way for frozen french bread pizza for Ellios Pizza to be massed produced. He also came up with pizza stick, but that idea did not work out to well.

Your story sucks too. Just keep telling yourself that she was probably bad in bed.

I have no problem with this thread, but last time around people started using the boards as therapy and then a confessional. It became very melodramatic, and resulted in the board being shut down.

My sympathies, Abbie, your grandpa seemed like a very cool guy (especially with that story). I just think we want to avoid things that run too personal.

I'm not someone who really has regrets but there is one thing I wish I did. In my senior year of high school I wish I had taken more advantage of my video applications class and made a real film with some of the theater arts students perhaps. I tried to at the last moment but it was too late. It was just too close to graduation. Should have tried much earlier in the year. Then I could have submitted the film into film festivals.

I also wish too that I would have worked harder to enter one of the Project Greenlight seasons.

I have a similar regret, I haven't been able to take a film course or anything of the like because I've always been far too busy with my other schooling. I've tried for a cinematography course every semester but I schedule is never loose enough for me to fit it in anywhere. Sometimes responsibilities and priorities can suck.

I regret buying my car.

Granted, it's a cool car. Kind of one-of-a-kind.

1997 Thunderbird, V-8, dark red with a yellow stripe and body kit.

It was also customized, NASCAR special edition of some sorts. It had Ernie Irvin's signature painted above the doors and rear bumper. Also had his name and number embroidered on the head rests. It also had only 39K miles on it when I bought it in 2002.

The thing has been a huge money pit. Aside from normal maintenance stuff like tires and brakes, I've spent untold amounts of money on freakish repairs: Transmission went crazy bad (had no reverse; would drive in neutral - $1100), ignition system went bad, so did radiator ($1200). Intake manifold cracked... twice ($500 each). Both doors broke (latch died on one side - $140, hinge died on the other - $600).

And that was literally just the past two years. Seems like I've dropped at least a grand every year on crap.

I love the roar of a V-8 and having a unique, eye-catching car... but in the end I should have just got a Grand Am.

Part of me regrets quitting my last job because as much as I hated it, at least I was making money. I've searching for a job since December and I STILL haven't gotten one.

I FINALLY have another interview tomorrow and I swear to god, if I don't get this job, I will be forced to resort to a life of crime. And I'm only half kidding.

I have no regrets for any of the stuff I have done in life. Sure, I could spend my time wondering about the better decisions I could have made, but life should never be about dwelling on what has passed. Past mistakes should be viewed as learning experiences for self-improvement and nothing more.

Yeah, I guess I was talking about the latter, not the former. But I will say this when it comes to regrets in life: making a bad decision is better than making no decision at all.

I think agree it's best just to stay positive, and take every chance you can to turn a bad choice into a learning experience.

Hahaha. I regret changing my mind about watching it online before the big screen. I thought Angels & Demons is the kind of movie that should be watched on the big screen instead of watching a bootleg. Should have seen the bootleg. Would have saved me $8.50.

I regret passing on casual sex, but I'm STD free, so maybe not.

Of course I regret not speaking my mind to authority figures ranging from teachers to police officers when they were in the wrong.

I regret showing respect to so many adults as a child, not realizing they didn't deserve it.

I shouldn't have been driving so recklessly and rolled my truck almost killing myself and two friends.

I should have wrote more letters to loved ones while they were alive.

I wish I hadn't smoked coke.

I regret not taking my dogs on more walks.

The good news is there's always tomorrow. Never too late to make some changes.

Regrets are for people who believe in time machines. Unfortunately, there are no time machines.

There's really no point in regretting anything, imo, since, obviously, there's nothing you can do to change what you've already done, but especially because everything you've ever experienced, good or bad, has helped shape and mold the person who you are today. So as long as you're happy with yourself and who you are as a person, I say "Fuck regrets."

Shinigami

^Take your hippie free immortality elsewhere Smiert Spionam! :D

Regrets are important because if you kill a guy and don't regret it, you might kill another guy some ways down the road. If I cheat on my wife and do live to regret it maybe that will teach my horny ass to have some morals next go round. So regrets are pretty awesome.
Although people can do overboard...

Smiert Spionam

Interesting point, but there's a difference between "regret" and "guilt," my friend. You can do something wrong and feel guilty about it because its wrong, but there's no point in regretting it since you can't change what's done.
