First off, Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canuck schmoes.

What are everyone's plans this July 1st?

Fireworks downtown. Along with some nice beverages.

Argh! It's also UFA day too! So much to do!

Happy Canada Day Blank and Happy 142nd Birthday Canada.
It also happens to be my boyfriend and I's 5th anniversary, so we are doing the Dinner and Movie thang except reversed. Most likely going to see Public Enemies then dinner at Kelsey's. After we'll stop by my parents house (whom are having a Barbecue with family and friends) to drink beer and sit around the pool.

Edit: People keep talking about the free food at Mandarin today, by just bringing your proof of citizenship. There's no way I'd show up there, people have been waiting in line since 10:30 last night!

Those are also my plans. I'm heading over to my friend's place soon, and I'll probably be downtown most of the afternoon/evening. Hopefully the weather co-operates!

Happy Canada Day!

Plenty to do, but where I live we recently had local celebration days with fireworks, parties and all that jazz, so I'll probably just lay low tonight. Maybe go see Public Enemies.

Me neither. Joblo, both entertaining and educational.

Happy Canada Day to everyone involved. Have a good one.

I know the history of boxing day, but what happens now on that day? Anything?

Basically Boxing Day is a massive retail sale day.
