Michael Jackson is dead....who cares?!?

This could probably go in the Rant section, but it has nothing to do about movies, just about the media coverage regarding Michael Jackson's death.

Getting right to it, I'm getting sick and tired of all the media coverage that this dead guy is getting. He created influential music twenty years ago and in between his death he bought an amusement park to live in, pretended he was Peter Pan with plastic surgery and touched little boys. If anything the psycho should have been put into a mental institution.

But no, the man is getting praise from thousands, if not millions, of fans around the world who weren't there to buy his latest train-wreck albums. No, they only live in the past like Michael in appreciating records that have gotten old and played-out long ago.

I think it's amazing how more attention is being given now to this man's death over the constant struggle and pain the people in Iran are getting: a dead pedophile over a near-revolution. What the hell kind of celebrity crazer society have we become?

I'll be very suprised if this thread lasts, but here is my input.

Michael Jacksons music was inspirational in the 80's and it still is today. Everything hold up well. He has created the best pop songs ever in my opinion and his Thriller album is the highest selling album of all time, Showing that he still has massive appeal.

So he made an amusement park, that was his personal life that was bombarded by the media. He never asked to be in the spotlight, he wanted to live out a childhood that he never had. He had the money and he could do anything he wanted with it, who are we to tell him what he did with his own money and in his own personal life.

Finally, all the allogations about him being a Pedo were just that. Allogations, nothing was ever proved. He was found NOT GUILTY on ALL of the fourteen charges. Plus this Joey Chandler took a pay-off. I'm sorry but where I come from, NO AMMOUNT OF MONEY can fix these sorts of problems. It's obvious to me that Chandler's family were blackmailing Michael and he had just had enough.
