Figured I see enough people photoshop on here I would give it a whirl asking here. I am trying to figure these out and wanted to do something with a pre existing gif.

say I want to add a face over michaels there in the middle. What do I do? I tried moving the face over but if I changed position in one frame it changed in all of em. Any ideas? thanks!

Ordinarily, I would recommend using a mask here (no pun intended). But seeing as your gif has only 10 frames, this will be a different process. Simply place the new face you have (which should already be cleaned up and ready to go) onto MJ's face in each frame as a single frame in order of sequence. Make sure all 10 frames are unlocked on the right panel there. Or they will drag as you try and move the overlay image (new face). You have remove his face first or simply overlay. I'm no expert, but I do know a fair bit about animation stuff now. And I use IR a fair bit. Once that is all done, simply optimize and save as is.
Let me know who you went.
