Never actually been anywhere abroad. Bee to Blackpool in England, but both times I thought it was dog shit. Overrated in my opinion.

We already took our vacation to Thailand for three weeks in April. Best vacation ever!
My wife just booked us to go to the Disney Caribbean cruise for 7 nights in Jan. Never been on a cruise before.

Anybody been on the Disney Cruise? Tips? Hints?

My wife get more vacation time than I do, so she usually goes someone without me. Next year, she is going to Paris and England.

Not sure what she has in her head for other 2012 trips. Maybe Vegas and Texas combo.

gosh!
ya know, for someone who has houses in multiple countries and travels all around the world so frequently, and lives such a lavish luxurious life, you'd think you'd spend a little less time on joblo. ;)

Although my wife prefers to fly, I love a good road trip, time permitting of course. While flying gets you there quicker, you do miss all the good stuff along the way.

In the US I've driven through all the lower 48 states and been to most of the touristy type places and major cities.
Outside of the US I've been to Canada four times (Montreal 2x, Niagara Falls, and Windsor) and Mexico once (TJ).

Next month we're going back to Florida for a week and going to Universal Studios. Out of the few theme parks I've been to, that is my favorite.

Some of my favorite places I've been to in the US are,

Mt. Rushmore
Alcatraz
The Whiskey in LA
Manhattan
Statue of Liberty/Ellis Island
Universal Orlando
Key West
Las Vegas

Those are the ones that immediately come to mind.

Two houses. Two countries. Been to only 8 or 9 countries (Thailand 3 times in 6 years). I live a middle, middle class life. It makes it easier when you wife is from a foreign country. I am a movie lover, so Joblo is a guilty pleasure. A few minutes here and there during the slow season and economy is not a big deal. Plus, this is the busy season for movies.

I do credit McDonalds for setting a great life example.

I will admit I did see a sign the other day while driving that was advertising Dog Poop pickup services and I thought of you. That is not an insult. I really did see a sign and I remembered the stuff you said about picking up dog poop.

Don't be a hater. I am what I am.

We were there for Thanksgiving. Stayed at the Royal something something. They closed the pool after the first day I was there. We were pissed. Loved the Harry Potter world and the short lines. Enjoyed Sea World too. Even went to that special park near Sea World where you can swim with the Dolphins.

BTW The Butterbeer (sode or frostie) int he Harry Potter world is just cream soda.

Sept is a great time of year to go! Have fun!

We were there this past February over my birthday, it was in the 80's all week and here at home they had snow and cold. I did NOT want to come back! The short lines was awesome then, too. This time we're staying at the Hard Rock Hotel. I guess they have a deal with Universal where hotel guests get to enter the park an hour before it's open to the public and use the line jumper pass all day! More short lines!

Is it at least a good cream soda? I wondered what was in it.

I've traveled to:

New York,
Canada/Niagara Falls,
Philadelphia,
New Jersey (to visit family),
and Disney in Florida.

My family used to go on annual vacations, but as the kids got older, the interest dwindled for them and the parents' couldn't support those kind of trips any longer. I'm glad with where we got to go, though, and perhaps when I'm supporting myself I can return the favour with each of them. :)

I would love to go to your country too one day! My wife has been there. She loved it.
Disney has two locations in the USA. Disneyland in Ca and Disney World in Florida. I have never been to Disneyland except for the downtown disney part for dinner a few times. The Florida one is much bigger and better by 10 miles.

The last time I was in Thailand I drove. They also drive on the left side on the road. That was a bit different.

Washington, Oregon, California, Hawaii, New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, Montana, Idaho, Utah, New York, DC, Illinois, Winsconsin, and a handful of other states.
Sadly, only been to Vancouver BC area for Canada.
Mexico.
Marshall Islands
Japan
Vietnam
Cambodia
Thailand
South Korea (duh)
Guam
Hong Kong
Taiwan
China

And some other places.

I will be going to Vegas and Seattle in October. Vegas for a weekend, Seattle for about a week.
I might go back to Thailand in a couple months as well. Still debating. I don't want to go back there again, but it's about half the price to fly there than almost anywhere else from here.

Geez your wife has had a interesting life visiting diffrent countys
Plus working for the UN on a mission would have brought her diffent experieces on her travels

I know Darwin can be a very hot humid place to visit since it is on the top end of Australia.
