Is there a website which tells which R1 DVDs are rare and which are not? If so, what's it's address?

Little Nemo: adventures in slumberland. It was only made in DVD format for a small period in the early days of DVD. I loved that movie so much I ended up spending 50$ to get it.

Worth it?

Ha, yes and no.

Crazy great animated movie though.

I don't think anyone would be interested in it without the DVD case. I threw the case away, and it's a nice little title to have in my collection of DVDs.

I just recently bought the Criterion Collection edition of The Killer for $25, sealed. Of course, it's a bootleg...

I just checked eBay and there are a few for sale, still sealed, ranging from $9.99 to $29.95. A couple are R2 DVD but most appear to be R1 DVD.

A lot of Disney discs are OOP, I've seen the 2 disc Beauty and the Beast (which, fortunately, I already own) for £50 before now, and I've seen the same price on Suspiria.

There's been some odd things happening with the prices of the now defunct Tartan DVD as well. I picked up a box of 3 music documentaries that they did, new, for £6. The next week all those new copies were gone, but I saw one at a second hand chain, which always has rock bottom prices, for £55.

I've also seen £50 on the 2 disc Suspiria that I've got.

eBay. There are a few results when you search 'The Killer Criterion,' so give it a go. And Amazon has a handful of copies (used, so you'd have to research their condition) for less than $50.

Caveat Emptor.

eBay is notorious for bootlegs - especially ones for OOP Criterions such as The Killer and Hard Boiled.
