I don't know the significance of the title Whip It, though I find it funny that Mark Mothersbaugh pulled out of this film because he thought Drew Barrymore was unbearable to work with. From the front page:

Some funny lines. I'm sure it will find a big following, and at least it isn't piling on the obvious HEY HEY HIPSTERS OVER HERE that a lot of trailers have recently. It plays it relatively straight, and I like that.

ALSO, glad that Andrew Wilson is getting acting work, because he really is the best Wilson brother, cameo-bound as he may be.

Looks ummm "cute" I guess. I'll probably see it just for Ellen Page.

I just hope it doesnt take itself seriously in any part of the film, that would ruin it for me.

^^^I just need my fix for Ellen and I'm happy.

As long as Drew Barrymore stays behind the camera, I won't care.

Just in it for Ellen Page.:):)

Not sure how big Barrymore's part is but she was in a couple of the scenes during the trailer.

Well, Ellen Page is a total sell for me, and other than that this film has Kristen Wiig and some other performers I like... but then it also has Eve, and Juliette Lewis, and some other people I can't stand (I'm on the fence with Barrymore). But the trailer looks cute and whimsical and identifiable and entertaining, so this is on the radar - for now.

Ellen Page? Awesome. Love Zoe Bell too, althought I didn't get to see her in the trailer (damn it all).

And as far as Barrymore goes, look at how big her picture was in the Scream poster and she was in that for all of 10 minutes. Maybe this one will be the same, but I doubt it. :)
