View Full Version : Weird Dreams...?

The other night I had a dream about zombies. In the dream I was sleeping, of course. I woke up to a hand grabbing at my leg. Then it was on. The zombie was dispatched using my cane. The rest of the dream was sorta blurry. I think I've been reading too much of "The Walking Dead".

The weirdest dream I had before that was when I dreamt that I was in Planet of the Apes and it turned into The Omega Man. Hmmm...

Anyway, spill! :)

I often have dreams where I either find or win a lot of money; and then I wake up multiple times still in the dream and I still have the ca$h.
When I finally do wake up, for the first few minutes I am still happy that I have money.
And then.....oh fuck.

I had a couple dreams involving the TV game show, The Price Is Right.
One I remember winning and another Bob Barker had hidden cash all over New York City and he had me go on a personal treasure hunt to find it.

Throughout my life, I've had very convincing and frightening experiences involving Jason Voorhees coming after me. I remember in one dream when I was a kid, he actually killed me by throwing a machete at me. But the dreams with Jason were far scarier than the movies and he was even uglier than he was behind the mask.
Notice I don't call these nightmares because although I was scared; I LOVE horror and I love being scared.

Having money and then finding out it wasn't real were the nightmares.

The last wierd dream I had was after watching an episode of Mad Men.

It went like this...it was the 60's (duh) And I was back to being like 13 years old. My father was John Hamm. I found a mobile phone of his (impossible, since it was the 60's 'an all) with messages from a unknown woman, sexual messages. I realised he was cheating on my mother. as I was reading the messages in his room, I heard him walking up the stairs, so I bolted out of the room, mobile in hand and made a break for my own.
I got into my own room just in time, after reading the remaining messages I wen't down stairs to find my father (John Hamm) transferring the lawn from the front garden into our living room, while wearing a blue night robe. I then ran out toward my grandfather house which was across the street, went in to find him and my uncle's all watching a boxing match. I watched a round or two then I ran back, I was just going to open the front door, when I spotted him with this mystery woman. I ran to the back of the house and climbed on the roof, jumped in through one of the windows and put the phone back. End of dream.

I haven't had any weird ones in a long time.

The wierdest one I can remember from when I was a kid involved me, my uncle, wolfman, Dracula, and some other monsters taking shelter in my house as we watched dinosaurs trample the houses in the neighborhood one by one.

I used to be able to have some pretty good lucid dreams but I haven't been able to do that for a while.

I've had a wealth of odd dreams in my time, I guess it's one of the few downsides of my overactive imagination. I had one just not too long ago about how since dogs age seven times the speed of humans, they can only be taught to speak certain words, and it totally made sense to me, so I was like "Oh, that makes sense, certainly explains why Jitters (one of our two family dogs) can only say small words." Then I woke up and I was both entertained and a little ashamed by my stupidity. :D

I had another dream that messed me up for a long time, I used it on my Facebook Notes, so I'll just Copy/Paste it for you guys:

Even though people usually associate me with violence and murder, I have never actually promoted violence or murder in any of my stories. I have always used my own personal fears to shock my readers because A.) If it grosses out/scares the author himself, it must be worth something. -and- B.) Oh, well there was only one reason. But there has always been one fear that I have never laid to paper because it's been too deep. Fitting in with my previous Blog/Note, Going Deep (part 1), it traces back to my life in Sharpsville.

I remember being born, or before I was born. Whichever it was, what I remember is that I could see nothing but blackness, and was nothing. But nothing was everything. I was a single cell and the entire world at the same time; I was insignificant and all-important. (Yeah, like something out of a Clive Barker novel. 'Cept this is real.)

My room was in the basement, which branched off into the laundry room. I've never been scared of laundry, but the window that peered just into my bed from the walkway of the branch of apartments our lot belonged to. (Now I don't remember if Jasper was still alive at this point or not, it doesn't change the story one way or the other I s'pose.) It was one of those dreams where I couldn't sleep the night before, and woke up in my bed, unsure whether I was still awake or asleep. For some reason I looked up to the window that looked back at me in bed. I saw a pair of legs walk to the window and stop, they were wearing fancy black pants (yeah, real good writing on my part, "fancy pants.") and matching funeral shoes. (You know, the shoes you buy specifically for one person's funeral and never wear them again?) The figure leaned down, wearing a black suit and an Abraham Lincoln top-hat. (Actually the man himself looked pretty much exactly like Lincoln.) His eyes were whiteless, pupiless, just black like the uncertain eyes of deer. It took me until tonight to really decipher what was in those eyes. It was the Eternal Blackness, the every-nothing that I remember from being born.

From the wry grin on his face I was unsure whether the hatted man wanted to kill me, or curse me, or whatever childish fear I once had. But he did something much worse than either of those. He stood back up straight and walked away, indifferent to me.

Ever since then I've had a fear of windows, and even worse: a fear of being watched. There have been a few times that I've been in my room playing Need For Speed on psp (this happened maybe a year, maybe two years ago) when I caught a glimpse of something past my arched legs in the cracked-open doorway. (I always, ALWAYS leave my door shut.) It was my step-brother, Chad, gleaming at me with what I at first percieved to be that hatted man's wry grin. (Actually, it may have been very similar to that grin.) I instantly jumped up, and maybe even hit my head off my brother's top-bunk. (One of the many, MANY trivialties of sharing a bedroom.)

When I was still writing stories, I refused to write while people were watching me. I get uneased now when I see people looking at me. (The transcript of my mind reads something like this: "They're looking at me. Do I hold the stare, do I break it? Even though they're beginning to walk away, they're eyes are still on me. I'm looking away now...Okay, they're gone. *Sigh) So yeah, that explains a lot. (Most of which I hadn't know had ANY correlation whatsoever until I sat down to type this.)

Yes, I know, I'm totally 'effed up. :)

I've had a fucking ton of weird dreams, but this one might (read, might) take the fuck.

So I'm walking around this courtyard, there's snow falling from the sky. This courtyard is outside a fortress-like castle (or would they be the same thing?).

There are a number of machine gun wielding ma'fuckers walking around, and something about them felt Russian. Anyway, so I'm walking around and I come across this picture booth, old-fashioned, open to the front.

There is a family - father, mother, and son - getting their picture taken by one of those olden time camera, like the kind you'd see in Deadwood, if you're hip to that.

Oddly enough, a lot of my dreams occur in the 3rd-person, meaning that I can see myself, and this was one of those. Thought I'd mention that because there is this golden plaque behind the family that my dream "zoomed in on", for lack of a better description.

And on that plaque are the words ADOLF HITLER etched in. I know. Fucking strange. But anyway, as soon as I notice this, alarms start going off, machine gun dudes are on the chase, and the dogs get let loose.

The obvious things to do is run, but unfortunately my snow boots suddenly become too heavy for me to run. So instead, I start jumping off the side of the courtyard, which I forgot to mention is on the top of the mountain, and sling-shotting myself back over the fence back onto the courtyard.

...and uh, that was it. I woke up. Maybe it wasn't too crazy after all. But, luckily, I just have to go check out my dream journal (I know, I know) that I kept for a couple of years to see what dreams I may have forgotten about.

Bump this thread...

Last night I had this weird dream I can't expand. First I see a third person of myself, then I got hit by a car. After that even stranger happen. I was in Gears Of War and got killed again. I came back to life and was at someone house was arcades and a huge movie screen. Funny enough it was Badbird house. He was playing his guitar and wearing his AFL jersey. I was talking to him about movies and then he mentions if I want to go out to a restaurant, since his girlfriend was sick. I said yes. Then we want to this local KC restaurant called Hungry Helpers. I order a Chess Steak and he order boneless buffalo wings. We were chatting about video games, NFL, metal, movies, politics, and all that stuff we both like. Once the food came something happen. Badbird mouth got so hot, he was dying. And after that, DavejoeG was helping him and suddenly john_rambo came and stabbed him in the head. Then Tweek, bigred760, Sqizzy316, and BankTheMooCow came and try to kill him. It didn't work too well. I went and hid and got hit by a truck.

The end.

OK, so when I lived in the States, we had this picture window overlooking our yard, and it always creeped me out because when I was out there during the day, the inside of the house was dark and you couldn't see what was in there.

So this one night, after I had just seen the film for the first time, I dreamt that I was out in the yard, with the pitch-black picture window looming over me. When I looked up into the window, I saw the alien from Alien just standing there staring at me. In a MAID OUTFIT. With a FEATHERDUSTER. Sounds ridiculous, I know. But I must have been 7 or 8 at the time. And I was scared shitless. In fact, until today I think that's quite probably the scariest dream I've ever had. Shudder.

I have had a reoccurring dream about my fish swimming in the air above their fish tank.

Oh, and once I dreamed there was a shark in my water bed.

That is all.

That's fucking awesome. If I was a rich drug lord, I'd have a water bed with sharks in it.

I love learning about the symbols of dreams, I've studied it for years and my mom and brother usually come to me when they have a weird dream and I dissect it. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, and other times it can tell you something about yourself you probably didn't know or were too afraid to admit were feeling.

For example, the other day I had a dream I was having cereal with Jessica Alba. She preferred Honey COmbs and I had Cookie Crisp. She was fully clothed of course.

What the dream meant? I don't care, sometimes a cigar is just a cigar it means nothing. It's a random assortment of images meshing for a sequence.

Sometimes, also, a dream can mean something big and immense.

Yeah, maybe that dream just meant that you subconsciously want to eat Jessica Alba's Cunt.

Most often I awake knowing I had a weird dream but unable to remember any details. But sometimes I catch fragments and keep a hold of them. A couple of nights back I had a dream where I was in a busy town square. A woman holding balloons was suddenly lifted off her feet as a sudden wind sprang up. She started kicking her legs and her feet touched the ground again briefly before a more powerful gust lifted her even higher. I grabbed a hold of her shoe lace which was loose and pulled her back down. Then a fierce gale lifted us both and we were both kicking our legs to stay on the ground. I tied her to a lamp post by her shoe lace then woke up. Twas passing peculiar.

I've never had a "naked" dream - where you are out some place and are naked. Supposedly it means something about insecurity.

But recently I've been having dreams where I'm back in school, sometimes high school, sometimes college, and for some reason I don't have my homework, or I didn't study for a test I'm about to take.

Thing is, I never had dreams like this the whole time I was in school, but all the sudden I'm having them now, eight years after graduating.

I've had a few of these. One in particular had me at work wearing a shirt, a tie, socks, shoes and nothing else. Cock flapping in the breeze from the office fans. When I say flapping I do of course mean thrashing around like an anaconda in a bad mood.

Alright. Here we go.

All-time weirdest dream.

It started out as your typical zombie invasion dream. I was walking down the street when zombies started coming out, so I ducked into this pyramid. Turns out the pyramid was actually the building for a gator farm that gave guided tours, so I took one in hopes that the zombies would pass us over. But when it was done, the zombies started pouring into the pyramid, so I ran into a theater inside the pyramid, down this hidden staircase, and took shelter in a submarine. The farm owner and I escaped, and we fled to this underwater bubble inhabited by a guy who made his living drawing She-Hulk erotica.

You figure it out.

I can see why that is a nightmare for someone like you and me :p. It's the red that is the nightmare. Hope that she doesn't become a Beck, Limburgh, Hannity person. after that dream you had.

I had a dream last night where if people had recently died, other people could hang special pairs of glasses outside of their house for the ghosts of the dead people to wear so that once the glasses were on, everyone could see them and touch them like they were a normal person.

Sadly, the dream ended shortly after I put on a pair, meaning, I died.

This would sound like a very good movie if they made it. Better than my dream or any of the other users dreams, so far.

A few nights ago I dreamed that I was sitting on a bench in front of my high school talking about the meaning of life with James Earl Jones, next thing I new I was in this run down shack screwing the shit out of Jorja Fox.

Now earlier that day I had just watched some CSI and that episode of Buffy where her and Spike tore that old building down screwing each other, that could probably account for the Jorja Fox thing, but the James Earl Jones part I have no fucking idea.

The twist in the dream was that I had been walking around the entire time thinking I was alive only to put the glasses on on a whim and then realize, once people started talking to me and whatnot, that I had been dead who knows how long and just didn't know it. So, interesting concept but its pretty much been done quite a few times, most notably "6th Sense".

Ah, well.

That's kind of funny. I'm sure others have had similar kinds of dreams.
I once dreamed that I had the formula for curing AIDS. I even woke up still knowing it and saying to myself, "quick, I gotta write this down!" After less than a minute, the dream kept fading and fading away until I could only remember that YES, it WAS the cure!

My dream last night consisted of me choking out one of my students in class (why in class, I dont know, since I'm a librarian) and then getting fired for it, but not before I went on the run......through the school. Which, oddly, was built directly on 3 different railroad tracks, all of which I had to navigate, up and down, as I ran from my boss (the principal). At the end of the dream, all of the students protested my firing because they hated the kid I choked out and the school actually sided with them and hired me back, and I received the news as I was hunkered down and hiding in a bathroom stall.

I'm sure this all bodes real well for when school starts here in a month, even more so when I actually see the kid.....

Had a dream this morning where I was out with some friends at a mall (that was designed by James Cameron). I realized I was going to be late for work, so I got out my cell phone to call ahead when Timothy Dalton shows up and tries to steal my phone!

We had a bit of a tussle in a back alley, but I was able to fight him off. Turns out he just wanted my phone because his phone was a piece of crap that was hard to dial.

I had a dream once that George Carlin and his family were staying over at my house. He had these two old aunts with him who were about four feet tall, and every time I tried to pee, they'd push me around. I ran out of the bathroom, and discovered that evil Russian guy from Rocky and Bullwinkle was stealing my vinyl records. Then there was a strange cat that pointed to the back door, which was mysteriously open.

The odd thing though is that when I woke up, I learned that George Carlin had just died. I also had to pee really badly.
