Radiohead never disappoints. Thanks for the heads up. I have been so busy with school lately that I have been neglecting movies and music so I have no idea what is coming out.

Wow. Sheer brilliance if ever I heard it. And for a good cause as well. Considering the recent songs topping the British charts have been nowehre near this quality, I really hope this does as well as it deserves to.

a beautiful song that pays tribute to a man who fought in the trenches of WWI..If I am correct he was the last WWI vet alive in Europe...with more and more WWII vets passing everyday its crazy to think that a vet from WWI was even still alive..

Definitely a quality song.
However, I do miss their trippier/dark stuff.

I got this a few days ago - but was dismayed to hear that it is pencilled in to be used in the Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack.
Twilight - been keeping me up for days.

Good fucking God, "Harry Patch" is terrible. Pretentious fucks. "Brilliant" bands get on my nerves.

Good call...That's what popped into my head as well when I was listening to it...it does sound like it was a fairly early cut of the track though because I did notice that it is fairly "natural" sounding..meaning Thom York is probably not finished fooling around with it

Whats so terrible about paying tribute to National hero?..I highly doubt that they were trying to impress anyone when they made this song..it sounds sincere and honest tribute to me

It took him about 8 years to get Nude the way he wanted it. I have early bootlegs that sound like shit. Now its my favourite track of theirs. So...yeah, he can take his time with certain tracks.

Yeah I have some of their B-Sides and raw cuts from Hail to the Theif and though I love Radiohead... I would much rather listen to the final product

Holy shit, thanks for the heads up guys. This is almost like comming home from a hard week at work and finding a naked Gina Gershon on your bed. Not that that has ever happened to me, but a boy can dream. I haven't been able to keep up with whats comming out recently since I don't have iTunes installed on my new laptop yet (that's just how I'm rolling right now).
A Radiohead song on a Twilight soundtrack? Twilight is not worthy! Great, now little tweens are going to run around like Miley Cyrus and say, "Radiohead is my Gorsh! I've always praised them!", and yet ask them to name three Radiohead songs and they stumble over their own words and suddenly forget.

I had people like that at school who claimed that loved Radiohead. Then I would play Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors and they would ask me what this shitty noise was.
They didn't love the band, they loved Creep.

I must have been under a rock lately--I heard about the "Harry Patch" song, but the news of the newer track escaped me, as well as rumors of this "Wall Of Ice" EP which may or may not be real..

The "These Are My Twisted Words" track is just okay, sounds like a one-off jam almost. Hard to argue with a free download though. I've just finally listened to the "Harry Patch" song--it reminds me of something off of Kid A/Amnesiac, less dark but has that orchestrated vibe.
I guess I can see why people think they're overrated. They're just a band, an often brilliant one however. Beats listening to to U2.

I wouldn't worry too much..Clueless featured 2 Radiohead songs...Fake Plastic Trees and My Iron Lung...and I don't remember too many idiots bragging about how they love Radiohead...besides I think Radiohead's music is a little too intelligent for the ditzy tween crowd

Unfortunately Thom recently said they won't be making any more albums because it's a drag and he'd rather kill himself. I'm sure they'll continue to put out a track now and again but there is something much more fulfilling in listening to a new album from start to end.

I liked Tribute to Harry Partch, but I found These Are My Twisted Words to be boring and tedious despite the pretty instrumentation.

Really? That's kind of too bad. I guess they don't want to feel like they have to live up to topping themselves every album, as everyone expects. Also, the album/tour, album/tour cycle must get a little tedious--they probably want to see their kids grow up.
I don't know, these guys can do whatever the fuck they want to at this point--to paraphrase Anton Newcombe from the film Dig!, they are the record company now. It would be interesting if they released a song a month or something over the course of a year, or several songs--fans can piece their own albums together. The possibilities seem endless, and what Radiohead does seems to set the trend.
I do agree that the "These Are My Twisted Words" track doesn't much hold up to repeated listening.
