There have been recent reports of the Harry Potter Ultimate Editions to be released shortly (possibly before the holidays.) Next month full details of the content of these DVD/Blu-ray releases will be officially announced (Amazon.com is already accepting pre-orders) but Leaky Cauldron, a Potter website, is claiming these releases may be the extended cuts. The first two movies will be released and the others may follow.

With the size of the packaging I wouldn't be surprised if these were the extended editions. Other features will apparently include the trio's audition tapes and far more behind the scenes footage of any previous DVD/blu-ray release.

Neato!

I wouldn't mind seeing some extra harry potterness for all the films.

I'm not too sure I like the pacakaging though....what's up with that giant colored sideways bar on the bottom?? Ugly..

I thought the first two movies were the perfect length, nothing was left out - The last 4 movies, I thought, were far too short and ommited many things that should have been left in, making the movies more complete, and with less holes in the story, or shitty plot turns that were the result of time cuts.
