I don't think it's that bad of an issue to get riled up about but then again I never bother reading any comments on articles/blogs/etc.

The "first" time I came across this "First" phenomenon nonsense was on Ain't It Cool. Members on that site still keep that shit up. It's pretty annoying. I'll spend a few minutes typing out a real response to an article and by the time I post there'll be four or five of these "FIRST" posts above mine that add nothing to conversation.

One of my ex buddies used to tell me sometimes that he saw a movie that I wanted to see, before me. So in essence, he thought that he was top shit. I told him to get stuffed. Alot of people have this "I saw it first" attitude, and think that because of that, they are better than you.

This drives me crazy. I check out the weekly updates over at Bungie, and the whole first page is guys posting "First page! - Reading now!"

They don't even read the update. They post "First!" and then read. WTF?

Thankfully I don't really ever see that on joblo. Especially not in the strike back sections. Seems like people usually like to just voice their opinions with no concern other than that.
