I Hope they Serve Beer in Hell

Never read the book but I'm sure it is good for some chuckles. The trailer though makes it look like crap. It's like Stiffler 2.0. If you haven't peeped it yet here's the link.

Anyone read the book? I watched some of the Q&A on Youtube from the author and he acts like a dipshit, so I'll probably pass unless someone gives it a raving review.

Looks dreadful. I did hear about the author and his book pretty much sounds like a misogynist who gets drunk, has sex, and gets into frat boy antics. Hardly anything worth making a movie about.

If they served beer in Hell,
then it wouldn't be Hell.

What the fuck, man? Why would you even... ah hell with it...

It looks like Very Bad Things/Stag minus the black comedy, sense of mayhem or talent. In fact, I'm pretty sure this trailer was supposed to be a spoof of some movie staring Christian Slater and Vince Vaughn.

What a sack of shit!

Nah for real, I thought this looked horrible until they had that 2 second clip of a rap video parody at the end. Oh man, then I was sold!!! Right, so sarcasm doesn't even help me make sense out of this movie. This was a book? Holy cow. So much for thinking that reading is important.

You would have to be mortally drunk to want to buy a book about some annoying twit you hope you never run into in a bar, or anywhere for that matter.

Yayy, he went to bars, yayy, he picked up chicks, yayy, he drank to excess, wow, so riveting, i didn't know anyone who has ever done that. This is on a Chaucer level.

Now if there were some zombies involved, maybe i would see this.

The people better be thinking, I hope they serve beer in the theater

Unfortunately, I saw the trailer in front of a film the other night, and it's easily one of the worst trailers I've ever seen in my life. I wish I could erase my memory of that trailer a la Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind...but I cannot.

Needless to say, I will NEVER see this movie.

Good one! :D

Read the book. While Max is "the man," the fact that he felt the need to write a book about it is kinda pathetic and speaks volumes of his need for attention, although - in his defense - if I remember correctly the first story in the book is about that. Regardless, this movie looks so fucking terrible. I can't even imagine people who actually liked the book wanting to see it based on the trailer. Looks like a waste of film. Weak all around. C'mon Richard Kelly, Darko Entertainment? Just weak.

Whoever considered spending money on prints and advertising was insane. Better off recouping your money with DIRECT TO VIDEO.
