So I've recently got an awesome HD tv. Will soon be getting a PS3 and then will start my blu ray collection. What the good ones I should get? I got a magazine with the top 100 bul ray's, but it doesn't talk much about the actually quality of picture and sound. It basically critiques the movies. So that was a waste.
There's a thread for bad Blu rays, ones to avoid. Which ones are essential?
Also do they have different transfers for different regions?

Kubrick's 2001 blew my socks off. They took the 60mm print and made it sing.
The Dark Knight also shines, especially when the IMAX scenes show up.
