"Don't you know who I am?" wtf is wrong with people. Why do they feel they are so important they think they can behave this way. I was listening to the radio last week and it was a call in show and the subject was having to turn down celebrities. As in for taxi rides and work purposes. It was really short because after about 4 call in's they decided they didn't want to get sued, so they changed the subject. The very first two were Russell Crowe run ins in which he exclaimed "Don't you know who I am?" demanding to be served because of his status. This is pretty disgusting behaviour. In other words it's someone saying "I am better than the average person."
I know these are extreme cases and don't happen all the time. But still.

I was just reading an article about Rob Marshall's Nine and how Catherine Zeta-Jones dropped out because he wouldn't make her role bigger. This is proof that some people are in it for the fame and don't care for the work itself. It's like Jack Nicholson demanding the top billing for Batman. THE MOVIE'S CALLED BATMAN ffs. I can't remember any other examples at the moment. But this shit pisses me off.

People tend to get bigheads when they're worshiped.

I'd rather complain about celebrity obsession in the public than celebrity ego in hollywood. Methinks one is the root cause of the other.

Is Quinto an asshole, or are his fans crazy?

i always thought Quinto was chill, it's the cheerleader who is an egomaniac.

Sometimes i think there is a difference between a celeb who understands how necessary they are to the film (Sigorney with Aliens pay boost) and ego bullshit. To Cathrine's credit, she was the best song/dance actress in Chicago, she got an academy award for it. If she was a star in the 30's she'd be right up there with Ginger Rogers. Nine doesn't look like it has any main actresses, like 8 1/2, it's a group of past lovers. It's certainly a step down from Chicago. Though it'd have been nice to see her and Rob team up again. I also think Nicholson was a predominant figure in making BATMAN the sensation it was. The residuals from the film has made him a 100+ million dollars.

I love hearing celebs taking a pay cut for a passion project, but it's not always the world we live in.

I actually cant hate on Jack for wanting a large percentage of the Batman profits. It was a very smart business move on his part. He knew the franchise was gonna be fuckin huge so he got a big piece of the pie. His whole family, kids, baby mommas, relatives and grandchildren are set for life because of it.
