The full programme is here (http://www.bfi.org.uk/lff/films)
and the first part of my personal picks of the fest can be seen at my blog (http://24framez.blogspot.com/2009/09/lff-2009.html).

I'll post what I'm going to see when I get my tickets, because it'd be cool if we could arrange some sort of schmoe get together.

Well, my plans always seem to change when it comes time to buy tickets, but for now I've got 7 films planned. I've got at least 1 in each of the major strands of the fest, and only 1 film in English.

I'm planning to see
Chloe: Atom Egoyan's new film, with Julianne Moore, Liam Neeson and Amanda Seyfried

Mother: Bong Joon-ho's latest

Air Doll: Bae Doo-na in a Japanese film about a sex doll that comes to life

Enter the Void: Gaspar Noe's new mind rape

Kinatay: Divisive piece from Cannes, set almost entirely in a van, about the abduction and murder of a prostitute

Lourdes: Sylvie Testud has been good in everything I've seen her in. This is my gamble for this LFF

White Material: Isabelle Huppert is a goddess (not in the film, just in general).

Wish I could go. Lived in London for six months two years ago and fucking loved it. CAMDEN TOWN FTW!

I may go. Prices aren't bad, I'll hit the website on the 26th.

Any thoughts on what you'll try and see?

Well I guess that they do different prices for different films but that suprise screening thing is in good company.

I quite fancy:

Chloe
Polytechnique
The Men Who Stare at Goats (Up in the Air Too?)
The Road
Enter the Void
Cold Souls
The Disappearance of Alice Creed
Air Doll

I'd be happy seeing any of them I suppose, but above are the ones I have the most interest in.

Enter the Void and The White Ribbon would be my dream double-bill.

If these two and Where the Wild Things Are hit their mark, then this will have been a good year for me movie-wise.

Keep me informed.

For me, LFF starts tomorrow. I've updated my programme in my previous post. 9 films this year, and I think I've got a really interesting slate. Anyone else seeing anything?

Looks like a solid line-up...I saw Mother, Air Doll, and Enter the Void at TIFF and they're all in the top end of the movies I saw at the fest (Enter the Void was my #1 but I can't deny it has major length issues and is repetitive in the second half...1st hour though I think is a technical masterpiece and damn near perfect). I'm very intrigued by Dogtooth and Disappearance of Alice Creed - wanted to see them at TIFF but couldn't make the times for either film. Very interested in hearing what your opinion on those are :D
