Shitfest 2009 - A Love Story

Hey there, movie goers and celeb lovin' freaks! I think I'm pining for the Golden Schmoes a bit early, because I was just thinking about my considerations for 2009...and man did this year blow! I'm bending my noggin around what I've seen in 2009 and only a couple of films really stand out as good.

It wasn't just the films that sucked, though. Hollywood, paparazzi, celebrity assholes...it was all a mess. Am I alone in noticing this? I'd bet not.

So I want some opinions in the form of a worst-of list. My questions:

1. What film sucked more than the rest this year??

2. What Hollywood celebrity spent the year pissing you off and making you want to kill people - especially them - over and over again??

3. Whose 15 minutes are currently at 14:30??

4. What movie trend has finally worn out its welcome??

5. What sequel are you praying will never happen??

1. It's a tie between Halloween II and Crank: High Voltage. Though The Unborn was pretty awful too.

2. Honestly, I don't hate any celebrities. Celebrities become famous because WE make them famous so if you hate Jon & Kate you have only yourself to blame.

5. If Rob Zombie was attached to direct then I would have said Halloween III. BUT, he's not coming back, so I'm fine with that movie happening. I'm iffy on another Crank movie. I loved the first one but loathed the second one. I'll say Paul Blart 2 would be really BAD! And who knows if it could happen. The movie was a surprise and inexplicable hit afterall.

4. What movie trend has finally worn out its welcome?? Saw Series(it wore out its welcome with me at 1)

5. What sequel are you praying will never happen?? Socialism: The Inevitable Solution directed Michael Moore (But I know it will).

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt (But now that it's been mentioned a few times, Jon & Kate can fuck off.)

Vampires and Werewolves - all of them.

5. What sequel are you praying will never happen??

Let The Right One In - I've heard everyone say how "great" it was and then I saw it on DVD. It was idiotic.

1. Out of all movie I've seen, The Unborn. Not even Gary Oldman can save this piece of shit of a movie.

3. Jon & Kate need to fuck off already.

4. The fucking remake. Some are acceptable like The Clash of The Titans but the rest can go.

5. Tie: The Thing Prequel & The proposed Mad Max 4 Anime Sequel. I hate the idea of the former more than the latter.

2. What Hollywood celebrity spent the year pissing you off and making you want to kill people - especially them - over and over again?? No one really. Kanye West isn't really a "Hollywood celebrity" is he? He hasn't done movies and he lives on the East Coast.

3. Whose 15 minutes are currently at 14:30?? Ken Jeong

4. What movie trend has finally worn out its welcome?? Spectacle movies that lack an ounce of character, especially action movies based on IPs

5. What sequel are you praying will never happen?? Transformers 3, but fat lot of good praying will do me there.

1. X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE. I knew it was going to be bad but I never imagined it would make THE LAST STAND look soooo good.

2. Seth Rogen: How this unfunny hack continues to get work and seems to be everywhere makes my brain hurt.

3. Katy Perry. Wow, you kissed a girl? That's great. Um....let's see...I'd like a number #3 combo with curly fries and a coke. Thanks.

4. Unnecessary sequels for outstanding stand alone films like THE DESCENT. Of course, as long as it makes some coin, let's squeeze as much out of it as we can.

5. The Godzilla Witch Project 2 aka another Cloverfield.
