First off, JoBlo: Your web site is probably the most useful movie themed site on the web and now that you installed this nifty chat room program...it has everything!
I was just curious - how do you see so many advanced screenings? Do you enter a lot of contests or do you attend press screenings? If press screenings, how did you get started with that?
Keep writing the best reviews around... Sid

Thanks, duder!

Actually, I am a member of the OFCS (Online Film Critics Society), probably the number one group for sorts of such on the Net. We've been getting more and more respect from the studios of late, so that helps.
I'm also the weekly movie critic on a local radio station, which also helps me get into some previews.
Other than that, a lot of begging, a lot of sucking ass...you know...the basics /ubb/smile.gif
What radio station? If you don't mind me asking. We could listen online.

I was the movie critic every Thursday morning for about 2 years on a local rock station here in Montreal called CHOM FM. Some of you crazy canucks out there might recognize the name of the dude who actually gave me the gig (and hosted the morning show), Steve Anthony (he was a VJ on MuchMusic for a few years). Anyway, the station has since changed formats and Anthony has left the building. BTW, they never actually "paid" me for the gig, but it was decent exposure, I suppose and I did go by my "JoBlo" moniker. Was fun but near the end, was starting to feel a bit like a "job"....brrrrr!
I might have some old tapes from a number of the shows...will try to get them on here (as mp3s) when I get a free minute sometime... :)
That would be great. Must be a prelude to a dream. You wouldn't happen to remember my dream now, would you?
