Why would anyone even want him on their radio show?
Wait, why did the host just call him a huge movie star?

You'd think for being such a mediocre.....welll, everything, ....he'd atleast be a nice guy.

He mostly owes his career to Adam Sandler. Though I did kind of like him in The Animal and Judge Dredd.

He was definitely making a few cracks, but the people at the station clearly don't know how to react to a situation like that (which becomes even more apparent when the guy says "These kinds of interviews always turn out this way,"). The guy in the tuque is an idiot.

Honestly, I thought the radio hosts were more jackasses and came off as complete idiots. Yeah, Schneider made a few cracks about being out in the parking lot but I thought it kind of worked as a running joke (if not terribly funny). I'm not saying that Schneider wasn't digging at the hosts - because he clearly was, but I don't think the intent was malicious so much as it was to create some entertainment on air. The radio hosts couldn't take the digs that Schneider was throwing at them and instead of running with it (which they should do considering they DID leave him waiting out in the parking lot...kind of rude when a guest is coming onto the show), they get upset and try to call him out on the parking lot thing. Schneider doesn't want trouble here and so he's ready to move on to another subject but they couldn't let go of it.
It's after this point that the radio hosts show how idiotic they are, going on about comedians always coming in like this - Schneider is right in this case - they clearly ARE bringing a lot of baggage to the table - and acting like little kids. EVEN IF you think Schneider was being an ass before this point, the radio hosts end up being the bigger assholes here clearly. Strange that Schneider is the one who maintains his calm and tries to be rational throughout these three grouping up to attack him. Sharp humor generally requires a little bit of ribbing so they should really be able to take it, especially as hosts on a show like this.
I'm not a fan of Schneider but honestly, I'm surprised at his ability to stay calm all the way to the end of the interview.
ALSO, he was right - they didn't ask any interesting questions at all. And the one question they wanted answered (where do you view yourself on the list - A-list, B-list, etc) is kind of a rude question to ask a guest. On top of that, THEY refused to let the question go and kept wanting him to answer it even when he gave his reasons why he doesn't think the question matters.

This was... an enormous overreaction by the hosts and the media. He is a COMEDIAN whether you think he is funny or not. They do digs like that all the time. I am not a Schneider fan, but I know what he was saying about morning radio being completely random. The dude in the beanie needs to take the stick out of his ass he is the biggest ass in the video. The chick also needs to chill. I really do not see anything wrong with what Schneider did.

I wouldn't call myself a fan of Schnider, but I am a fan of JoBlo.com, and being familiar with past threads where people want me to just drop my draws and take a dump in my chair at how bad a guy Schnider is, and me always ending up under whelmed and just thinking somebody missed the joke bus. I decided to just read the thread before sitting through an interview I have no interest in.
I pretty well knew that this...

Seems to me more like overreaction from radio people. Reading this a few years back, while Ebert was recovering from cancer and potentially not gonna make it, colored my perception of Schneider thereafter:
A bouquet arrives...
by Roger Ebert
A beautiful bouquet of flowers was delivered to the house the other day. A handwritten note paid compliments to my work and wished me a speedy recovery.
Who was it from? A friend? A colleague? An old classmate? The card was signed, “Your Least Favorite Movie Star, Rob Schneider.”
Saints preserve us.
It will help to establish a context if I mention that my review of Schneider’s latest film, “Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo,” contained three words which provided me with the title of my new book: “Your Movie Sucks.”
I regard the flowers and intuit they were not sent in the spirit of irony. Despite my review, Rob Schneider was moved to make a kind and generous gesture, one person to another.
The bouquet didn’t change my opinion of his movie, but I don’t think he intended that. It was a way of stepping back. It was a reminder that in the great scheme of things, a review doesn’t mean very much.
Sometimes when I write a negative review, people will say, “I’ll bet you can’t wait to hammer his next film.” Not true. I would far rather praise the next film to show that I maintained an open mind.
When Vincent Gallo’s “The Brown Bunny” played at Cannes in 2003, I walked out of the screening and declared it “the worst movie in the history of the film festival.” This was an unwise thing to do. My policy for years has been to avoid giving a negative review of a festival film until it has a chance to open.
Gallo issued a curse on my colon. I responded that the video of my colonoscopy was more entertaining than his film, and there the matter rested until 2004, when Gallo released a “final cut” of “The Brown Bunny” which was re-edited and 30 minutes shorter. I went to see it, and now I could see better what he was getting at, and I gave it a positive review.
“Ill bet you hated to change your mind,” I was told. No, I was happy to. It is a hard and frustrating thing to make a movie, and credit must be given where due.
Now we come back to the flowers. They were a reminder, if I needed one, that although Rob Schneider might (in my opinion) have made a bad movie, he is not a bad man, and no doubt tried to make a wonderful movie, and hopes to again. I hope so, too.
Thanks, Rob.
He's a bad actor who makes bad movies, but a bad guy? I kinda doubt it. This video didn't diminish that doubt.

I thought the REAL jerk(s) were the spaz case in the dumb ski cap and the bitch with the raspy voice and fake accents...what a pathetic bunch. Rob is like every other comedian, they use something current usually as launch pad or crutch in a routine like manner to get thru an interview-regardless of the venue. Rock on Rob!

having just watched the entire 10 and a half minute thing... i have to say:
Not only was Rob Schneider NOT in the wrong on this show... i genuinely feel bad for him. That was just asinine.
The dude in the beanie cap was a fucking douche bag "i liked you 20 minutes ago" repeated 30 times... the chick was just ridiculous
Schneider was making jokes the way you do, apparently he was left in the parking lot as a previous bit went long, and he just playfully joked about it, like what 2, 3 times?
And then those unprofessional co hosts lost their shit, and acted like complete jack asses.
plus, asking him a question like "Do you consider yourself A list, B List or C list".. are you kidding me?!?! What type of elementary school shit ass question is that? That is such a disrespectful and insulting question. Just ridiculous!
I geerally dont like radio talk shows because for the most part you get these people who think they are better than everyone else and they act like they are at MTV Spring Break the entire year... they are just, for the most part, complete idiots
Adam Carolla and the great Howard Stern are exceptions... and i also like (If you are in the baltimore area) Mickey & Amelia from 98 Rock
Rob Schneider def got hosed on this, and anyone who thinkis he was in the wrong, im going to have to submit that they are not familiar with that style of comedy.
The hosts even mention that they had an interview go south with Norm Macdonald... how can that happen? Macdonald is all time! That dude is one of the funniest people of all time! I would love to see or hear that radio broadcast when he was on

Never thought I'd be defending Rob Schneider at 6:40 on a Thursday morning, but really, fuck those "hosts". Fuck them for making someone wait in a parking lot, fuck them for asking inappropriate questions and fuck them for getting up in arms at a COMEDIAN when the COMEDIAN brings COMEDY into the mix.
And most of all, fuck the bandwaggoning overweight midget woman who went along with everything just fine until the little Timmy in the sock hat decided to get pissed because Rob wasnt giving him enough attention, at which point she switched sides to defend her little special-looking friend. You "quit this bitch"? Good, walk the fuck out you pathetic excuse for a morning talk show host.
But, more importantly, fuck you, tiny guy in a sock hat given to you free for some promotion. You liked Rob 20 minutes ago, did you? Then he comes in, starts joking around with everyone, your midget brain cant comprehend humor and subtle jokes so you snap on a guest that YOU invited in? I bet the reason you were fidgeting around in your chair, which was obviously already as high as it could go, was because you had a #2 pencil sized boner over the fact that while you have done nothing with your pathetic little life, you were sitting across from a movie-star and yelling at him for no reason. I'm pretty sure you might have came when you tried to be really tough at the very end when Rob finally gave up and left and you started yelling "Peace!" You fucking dwarf jagoff. I hope your shitty morning show, where, based on you repeatedly saying you've had problems with guests in the past, loses its funding and you end up out in the parking lot yourself. Interviews only go as well as the hosts who conduct them, and given your track record, as you were so inclined to repeatedly bring up, I'd say you and your co-hosts SUCK at interviews. Fuck you, fuck your fat ugly co-host (the epitome of why shes on the RADIO, where no one can fucking see her, thankfully), and fuck your lame we-so-desperately-want-to-be-edgy radio show.
I'm out of this bitch.

In all fairness, the week before they had Norm Mcdonald on and he was a huge dick... I mean a HUGE dick. This is a morning radio show that is usually hillarious, this just got blown out of proportion. The subject should have got changed when Rob wanted to change it. I understood the parking lot jokes, but because of Norm being a dick I think they assumed Rob was too. However, no one should think they are more important than anyone else... a previous guests time slot run over, it happens...

jackson13, JCPhoenix, SkyNet, etc. have it right.
I listen to a lot of talk radio and 80% of the time when a comedian is on, they take digs at the host, the station, the size of the audience and shit like that. The hosts generally have a great sense of humor about it and are self-deprecating. I can't believe they actually asked him whether he was really offended by the parking lot thing. When you ask a comedian to stop and explain that they're joking, you're doing a horrible job. And then they talked over each other bawwwwing about how hurt they are.
I'm not a Rob Schneider fan, but those radio hosts are morons.

And I agree with Screamer, that he is not a dick but a stapler...or a carrot.:D

I finally watched the video, and could not believe how bad I was feeling for Schneider. He was ambushed by pent up hostility toward people who are funnier. What's funny is hearing the loyal listener call up and stick up for the hosts. That Jason dude totally lost it, and Rob was right, they had nothing going for that show. They basically wanted to just bullshit, and it sounded like they were pissed off, at least that Jason dude, because he didn't show up and entertain them. These guys operate out of Palm Beach, which the ski cap all the more douchey.
It almost felt like Schneider, knowing he was on the radio, had facial expressions incongruous to what he was saying and didn't think they would take him so seriously or know that their pussies were so ready to bleed.

This was funny to see. Rob was totally cool. Sure, he threw some jabs but if they can't take that, they're complete amateurs. I'm sure I'd get pretty bored if I had to wait in a car for some goofy DJ's to interview me about nonsense. Morning DJ's are generally hacks anyway.
Rob sounded like a cool guy. And so did the main DJ. It was the two cuff links who came off like they had sand in their vaseline.
To think that douche bag complimented Gallagher. One of the biggest hack comedians of all time.

All this bullshit being thrown at Rob is completely unjustified.
I'm a major listener of Howard Stern and he spoke for over an hour on this topic as Rob has been such a great guest on his show in the past. Howard nailed it right on the head to say that these so-called "hosts" were too retarded to realize that he was just joking around with the parking lot quotes, etc.
Rob is a very cool guy and I give him credit just for not telling the hosts to fuck off which I might have very well done if I was him.
Bottom line, those radio hosts sounded retarded, they were wrong and I hope that everyone else understands that because Rob doesn't deserve the shit he's getting at all.
"I quit this bitch!"........what a fucking moron. She should be fired for that one. I've never heard more disrespect in such a short period of time in my life.

And that is why Howard Stern is and always will be a god!
All these hack fucking DJ's just want to be like Howard but none of them have the talent for it. So they try to stir some controversy and fuck with Rob. Well, they got Howard's attention and I think their studio will suffer because of it. Good going douche-bags!

Holy fuck, those are some real immature people on that show.
I don't fault Schneider for that at all. I wasn't going to watch this thing, but I thought "ah, I can waste ten minutes."
I want to smack those two for not letting a simple joke go. I don't blame Schneider for leaving, either. He did a good job keeping his cool. I also hope he kept the cup.
