Howdy
Just saw Scanner Cop on TV
It kinda like Cronenberg's 'Scanners' - is it a sequel? Well actually I think it kinda is because in the first set of credits it said that the characters were created by Cronenberg. I really liked Scanner Cop - I heard it was just a crappy B movie but I thought it was a pretty cool B movie with a great performance from Daniel Quinn and Mark Rolston was very good aswell as that Lieutenant guy...

It isn't really a sequel...rather a spin-off on "cop" films and "Scanners"...when I say "cop" series think "Maniac Cop", "Killer Cop", etc...and when I say "Scanners" think of the films that followed like "Scanners II", etc...lots of good films, especially horror, are re-hashed into some wierd twist on the original...think "Maniac" turned into "Maniac Cop" or "Night Of The Living Dead" turned into "City of the Living Dead" then "Tombs of the Blind Dead"...these are marketing ploys to associate the name of a good film with a mediocre film...using the association theory that if it sounds like it, it must be like it...next thing you know it will be "Return of the Blind Scanner Cop Maniac Tombs: The Last Nightmare"...

Yeah i liked all 3 Scanner cop films,i didn't really like the Scanners movies though.I'd like to see a couple more sequels to the Scanner cop flix, with more advanced powers in it.Like in the last Scanner cop they showed different things that could be done with their power.I mean i know most movies should be kept at a clean 3,but its a b grade so i guess its ok to have more than 3.Like look at the Friday the 13th & Halloween, how far did they go up to.It started to become a tradition for those flix to have an excuse for a sequel.Anyways blah, blah i liked it,hehe /ubb/smile.gif
