Lost Highway, as the credits roled I found myself going "okay now they were the like same people right? Or was it like that one guy said about their souls switching, or is it, wait a sec, huh? WTF?" I just don't understand it.

Hey Bruce!
First off: this topic (and i think im not alone here) is not supposed to be in Movie Questions. Why dont u make a topic in "My Top 10" forum giving a list of your confusing movies and we'll respond with our list! This forum is about questions u have about a movie or movies. Otherwise it's a good topic /ubb/smile.gif

I remember 12 monkeys being very confusing and Brad Pitt and Madeleine Stowe being very good in the movie. I'll have to see it again and get back to u.
Ill figure a list out soon but post the topic in the top 10 forum!

the first time i watched fight club i switched it off because it got very confusing and i couldnt be bothered to try and work out what was going on and it was making me fall asleep, but it got a lot less confusing the second time.

I saw Th House of Yes recently and the whole time I'm atching this movie I was asking myself what's going on but I found i couldn't turn it off because I was hoping everything would be explained in the end. What a messed up movie.

This is actually a great question for this forum. Of course, it can also be put in the TOP 10 forum as a "list" question, but it certainly doesn't need to do so.

Some of my most confusing movies were also based in David Lynch: DUNE and TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME made little sense to me at the time. Most recently, HIGHLANDER: ENDGAME was a mess.

Samiam,

Is The House Of Yes with Freddie Prince jr.? If that's the one I'm thinking of then that movie is so freakin stupid - and you're right, then end....WTF was with that??

I got really perplexed during a viewing of "Erin Brockovich" while on a date...It confused me how such a great director could work with such a blatantly bad actress just because she is famous and a major celebrity...at least Brad Pitt is a decent actor, although he might have looked strange with a halter top on...

12 Monkeys was kinda confusing but im sure if u watched it again it would be a bit more understandable.

The movie that im thinking of right now is the Limey. I'd have to see that one again to say anything though.

I remember when i first saw Lock Stock and 2 Smoking Barrels what threw me off wasnt all the different plot lines but the thick English accents that made a lot of it hard to understand. After buying it and watching it for the 4th time was when i could understand about 95% of the dialogue.

hmmmm i cant really think of anything else for the time being but ill add when i some more come to mind.

The accents are thick in LOCK STOCK, agreed. I have the script though. . .and closed caption may also help some.

While I like Julia Roberts, I agree that she is an overrated actress. We can talk about her again when she wins an Oscar. . .and let's hope not for Erin Brockovich.

Usually i watch movies in captions just to make sure i get every bit of dialogue and sometimes people around my household can be quite loud. But the version of Lock Stock (or is it all versions?) i got did not have any captions so i had no choice but to review it.

Just watch any movie by the great russian director Andrei Tarkovsky and you will find it hard to understand what's going on... But that's one reason why I love his movies so much.

Pulp Fiction confused me the first viewing. Well, maybe thats not the right word. Overwhelmed would be a better way to put it. I was really never treated to such joys that PF gave in storytelling before, so I was very shocked in a good way.

When I was younger, about 7 years of age, it took me a while to understand the time travelling concept and altered realities of Back to the Future 2. /ubb/smile.gif

12 Monkeys. When I saw this movie I was in shock. I had never seen a movie that had confused me before. I saw it again and it made a little more sense and I plan on renting once again(I haven't seen it since I was 12) and this time it should be a breeze.

Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. I saw it with my friend and couldn't understand the thick accents and the story was all over the place. I guess I wasn't prepared for it. I saw it again and completely understood it. Fabulous movie.

2001. I saw this about 6 months ago and got physically ill. It had no point and made no sense. I guess just the ending. Besides that it was a poorly made movie with 0 dialouge.

Dune definately. I never gave another shot at it but it just made no sense and I saw it a long time ago and I don't remember it too well but I do remember that it left me in a state of bewilderment.

When I originally saw this post, I was going to say DUNE as well.

R. P. McMurphy, ditto about Back to the Future 2. Even after I saw it for the third time and FINALLY understood it, I still couldn't explain it to my dad.

Very complicated but a great flick.

I bet everyone who saw Lock,Stock and said the accents were too thick were not British. That of course is my advantage, being British. However, I'll admit most American films are better than "The Full Monty".

Back to this topic, Star Wars Episode I wasn't the most confusing film, but the whole decoy thing with the queen needed to be seen twice.
