Can anybody tell me the connection between…

1- Eyes Wide Shut and Apocalypse Now?
2- Sheltering Sky and Dick Tracy?
3- THX 1138 and Boogie Nights

And these two might prove a little harder.

4- Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and Courtney Love?
5- American Psycho and British Prime Minister Tony Blair

No doubt there are loads of connections for all of them, it will be interesting to see what you all come up with.

#3) THX 1138 was directed by George Lucas who also created the Star Wars Trilogy. In the first flick (A New Hope), one of the stormtroopers officer number is TK 421. In Boogie Nights, when Buck Swope is selling a stereo to a customer, he tells him to buy the TK 421. I thought it was a cool inside reference.

#4) Ummmmmmmm, Courtney Love is a big whore?

the 'old way'..while Guy in Boogie Nights, makes a living from his
'piece' but ends up a drug addict.

4.Let me see...Little Whorehouse is a musical..Love is a musician, who
happens to live up to her group's name.

5.well..the guy in the film is 'two faced' and soo is Blair
(a Thatcher clone all along)

Well john boy those are pretty cool answers (apart from the Sheltering Sky one, I love that movie,) but eh, those are pretty Tenuous links. Definitely not what I had in mind, good try though.

Answers:
1-Harvey Keitel starting filming on both of them, but his role was taken over by another actor.

2-Both were shot by oscar winner Vittorio Storaro.

3-Both were developed from Student films.

4-Nick Broomfield made a documentary about the Whorehouse that the musical is based on and he also made 'Kurt and Courtney'.

5- In college Tony Blair dated Mary Harron the director of American Psycho.
