Personally, there are only a handful of films coming out this summer that I am pretty excited about....

TITAN A.E., for some reason, looks like it's gonna kick some ass, but then again, maybe it's because the trailer looks so cool...

THE HOLLOW MAN also looks pretty spooky, and the word on the street has been pretty slick on it...like a DARKER "Invisible Man" kind of thing...

MI2 is obviously on the list, with Woo, an extra heavy soundtrack, Cruise and that Matrix-feel, how could you go wrong...?

Other than that...ain't much exciting me out there...PERFECT STORM will likely be good, but nothing special, GONE IN 60 SECONDS will be fun cheeze, ME, MYSELF AND IRENE has been getting good word of mouth...

Am I forgetting any? I don't think so...

YEP!! I agree. MI2 looks really cool, and with the director behind Face/Off is taking care of it nothing simply can´t go wrong. And when mentioning Face/Off, I think about Nic Cage - Gone in 60 seconds. The trailer looks nice, and with the best male actor alive, hopefully nothing goes wrong there either.
I read somewhere that Nicolas Cage will star in John Woo´s next movie "Windtalkers"... I´m looking forward to it.

I'm not so sure about Titan A.E., but I agree with you on the others. Here's my list:

1.Mission: Impossible 2
2.Me, Myself & Irene
3.Hollow Man
4.Scary Movie
5.Gone is 60 Seconds

Hollow Man looks fantastic. It's directed by Paul Verhoeven wich means it should be pretty graphic.

The Scary Movie trailer had me laughing so hard... I just hope they didn't use up the funniest momments in the trailer.

After seeing Gladiator, I only need to see X-Men, Perfect Storm, and Hollow Man to complete my year. Thats not to say I don't want see Gone in Sixty Seconds or M:I2. But these three seem to be different than the usual summer flicks.

Well I do not think anything will pass Gladiator. I still want to see Gone in Sixty Seconds because it is from Jerry Bruckheimer, Perfect Storm looks good, and I am hoping Jim Carrey gets his comedy carrer back in Me, Myself and Irene

Yeah, looking back...I would say that MAN ON THE MOON bit the big one, although I did enjoy his performance in it.

I think it was Aint-it-Cool-News who had seen a test screening of Me, Myself and Irene and loved it! I'm pretty sure that it was Harry Knowles himself who wrote the review. Anyway, it's supposed to be a LOT funnier than the trailer, and the Farrelly humor is apparently intact.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned CHICKEN RUN. It will easily be the funniest film this summer.

I'm VERY excited about Scary Movie. The trailer is hilarious. You can't watch R-rated movies? Than how come you've seen all those R-rated horror movies? If you want to convince your parents it's a comedy, show them the trailer - JoBlo has it.

MPAA sucks.

I'm looking forward to The Perfect Storm (George Clooney and Mark Wahlberg are both very good actors) Titan A.E. (if Ebert and JoBlo like it) Shaft (because I love Samuel L. Jackson and John Singleton) Me, Myself, and Irene (again if Ebert and Joblo like it) X-Men (I'm not a fan of the show but the trailer looks "cool") and The Patriot (I hate Roland Emmerich but I like Mel Gibson and War Movies) but not much else is really exciting me so far this year has only had a few really good movies and that doesn't look like it will change much. It's been a shitty year for film.

I have been checking the test screening reviews in the AICN and the films most likely to kick ass are:

The Chicken run
The Perfect Storm
The Shaft

I' also excited about X-Men and The Hollow man. MI:2 and Titan AE might be worth watching despite their flaws. But I already know that 60 Seconds is going to suck. Even people who like other Buckheimer films think so.
