Here are a few films which for some reason or another...aren't exciting me too much...
THE PATRIOT...I'm sorry, but Civil War, Mel Gibson with a rifle, and the men behind INDEPENDENCE DAY just don't do it for me..
CHICKEN RUN...has also been getting great word of mouth, but the trailer does very little for me (much like the DINOSAUR trailer, and look how that turned out)...
NUTTY PROFESSOR 2 is a joke...Eddie Murphy in latex cashing his paychecks again...
DISNEY'S THE KID...looks kinda stupid, and despite the X-MEN's goofy uniforms, I'm still kinda looking forward to that one...
ROCKY & BULLWINKLE might go either way (big bomb or big hit), same with SHAFT (which looks okay), and THE CELL (which just looks downright LYNCHy!!).
That's it...I think...others I missed I'm sure...

Joblo,
that's a fairly agreeable list and a fairly agreeable new layout and style for the forum(s) might I add /ubb/smile.gif
Most of the films in the list look potentially bad, especially 'The Cell,' which I'm sure will raise a little controversy due to its content (some of the scenes are a little perverse).
I'm 50/50 with the X-Men. It could definitely go either way, although a source tells me it will do justice for the fans. Now I'm not sure quite what was meant by that: 'fans' of X-Men, or 'fans' of the stars involved? Time will tell...
Probably going to get flamed for this, but I thought the Rocky & Bullwinkle trailer looked good. It looks like it will be a fun movie and will be worth watching for Piper Perabo, errr, I mean Bobby DeNiro /ubb/cool.gif

I'm actually looking forward to "The Patriot" and "The Klumps." Isn't "The Patriot" about the revolutionary War? Gibson has, IMHO, been strong in most of the works he has done and I like well done war flicks.
"The Klumps" could be really good or bad. I loved the first flick, especially the farting scene at dinner. I use that one to prove to my friends that I'm really not a "film snot" that can't enjoy mindless fluff. I'm guessing the plot will be awful but I am assuming that there will be some moments where we laugh so hard we cry....

This is really terrible... I can't believe a movie fan like me is stuck here in the one country that probably gets releases last (England)! This is such a tease because I DL some of the trailers from here and other corners of the web and end up having to wait half a year for it to come out!
Still haven't seen any promotions or the TV mentioning anything about The Patriot or Nutty Professor 2!
What about The Grinch? I'm not sure about what I think of that. The make-up is pretty cool, but will they be able to pull it off?

5 nutty proffeseur 2
first of all,the patriot is about the revolutionary war,and i think it looks ok.i agree that the klumps and rocky and bullwinkle look like they are going to suck so bad but x-men looks like it is going to kick ass all over the place.

THE PATRIOT DOESN'T LOOK TOO INTERESTING. PATRIOT MOVIES USUALLY BOMB ANYWAY. IT SEEMS LIKE ONE OF THOSE MOVIES THAT RUN THREE HOURS LONG AND ARE REALLY BORING EXCEPT THE ACTION SEENS. THE PERFECT STORM LOOKS KINDA BAD FOR THIS REASON: MY BIG BRO IS TELLIN ME THAT THEY ALL DIE, BECAUSE HE READ THE BOOK. THE SAME WITH MY FRIEND. MAYBE THEIR BLOWING SMOKE UP MY ASS, BUT I DON'T WANNA SEE A MOVIE THAT'LL BUM ME OUT. I HATE MOVIES LIKE THAT.

Yes, they all die in the end. Not exactly your uplifting "Independence Day" ending is it. Someone probablly thought people dying gives the story dramatic integrity.
Seems to be getting mostly good reviews though. Not glowing, but good.

Hey dudes:
Please make sure that you write *** SPOILERS *** before mentioning any facts about a film which others may not know. I personally knew about your PERFECT STORM revelations, but posting it up without any warning to others, may simply SPOIL things for them.
This message is for everyone, and I hope that folks will abide by it, so that the board doesn't begin to ruin things for others. Thanks to everyone for understanding.
