Has everyone seen the Starship Troopers series? 25 minute episodes, all computer generated to a fantastic degree, with motion blur, brilliant light effects & textures - the works. Even good stories.

Surely a feature film (90-120 mins) could be produced far more cheaply than an entire series, and with the standard this good why aren't we seeing them?! I've not seen Titan AE yet, but it seems only the new Final Fantasy movie will come close to what I'm talking about.

I'd give a lot to see a CGI remake of Battle of the Planets. How many other classic ideas (especially from Japan) are just begging to be rendered for the big screen. It can't be long before real actors are wrapped realistically around computer-generated bodies (they had the basic technology in Titanic - way ahead of Lawnmower Man)..

I'm not a huge anime/mecha fan, but I'd love to see a big space robot film, and it's not as if they can't do it, or that it's too expensive..

I have seen that series, it's kind of the same as Max Steel, and if they can produce series like that cheeply then i agree with you, there should be more movies like that.

All i have heard about is the FF movie and i heard a rumour that there thinking of making some type of Mech-Warrior type movie that would be a combination of regular and computer animation like Titan A.E. (which wasn't that good of a movie but the animation was cool).
