The Cell

Has anyone heard anything about a film called "The Cell" ?

I saw a very brief spot on TV about it, and it looked very interesting to me. Jennifer Lopez is in it, so I am a little wary...but the clip I saw looked cool.

I would like a little more info on it if anyone can help to make sure it is worth seeing. It doesn't seem to be anywhere on this site. So I'll be around and about on the internet searching for it. later.

For me the site is a lot of eye candy, but I am still intrigued by the story a little. I hope it is as good as it looks. But I have been duped by the pre-release marketing before, so we'll see.

I also thought that the trailer looked pretty cool. Very original visuals. It seemed that the film is dealing with some kind of virtual reality stuff, but I don't really know... Is there anyone who could inform me and Jaden?

Another serial killer thriller with a twist. Lopez is a detective on the tail of a sick murderer and decides to enter his "head", that's right, his head, in order to understand him better. It's the directorial debut of Tarsem, the dude who directed REM's LOSING MY RELIGION music video and is supposed to be really freaky.

I know someone who already saw a test screening and they said that it was "very weird but the imagery is amazing."

the cell looks awesome. i can't wait until that, and the hollow man come out. those look very interesting and fun. they are both thrillers and gotta check them out.

The producers are fighting the mpaa so they don't give the cell an nc-17 rating. It's very very violent, and I think theirs alot of sex in it. That would suck if it was, because then i couldn't see it!

but, i doubt if it will be nc-17, because few movies are. if it was, i could always sneak in to it.

Thats pretty weird that all these music video directors are directing movies now. I for one am for it.

But I hope The Cell isn't one of those movies thats weird and everybody thinks its brilliant because its so weird. You all know what I'm talking about.

If it's weird, It's great in my book. Being John Malkovich was very very wierd, but I love it. It is very brilliant, also.

Thats not what I mean. Some films just try to be weird and unique for the sake of being weird to make people think its brilliance at work. I'm not talking about Being John Malkovitch. In fact, I'm one of the film's biggest fans.
