The Silence of the Lambs has to be up there in the category of one of the best horror films. Jodie Foster played her character very well, however, I think that Julianne Moore will do an equally impressive job. Jodie is an actress that, I think I can safely say, no one would mind if she didn't return for the sequel - I mean have you seen Contact or Anna and the King? I felt that adding Julianne to the cast was a good move because there was a definite sense of closure, for me, between Hopkins' and Foster's characters. Time for some new flesh, no pun intended of course. If Anthony hadn't signed on to do the sequel I would have said screw making the film. I doubt anyone could take his place. His ability to command the room regardless if he is locked in a cell or tied down and control the activities within it show very blatently that there can only be one Hannibal.
Tell me your thoughts or any good info on this film - Thanx.

I didn't know Julianne Moore is gonna be in it. I did like the first one, but I wonder how are they gonna pull a sequel off. I mean was it nesecarry to do a sequel to The Silence of the Lambs? I doubt it will live up to its father's calibur, but then again I think that of any sequel. Who's going to direct this movie?

Sadly, I am unaware of any of the details of this movie - whether it be production, content, or even release date!!! If anyone has any information, it would be much appreciated.
I hope that it does live up to the original - I am reading the book (same title) and it is pretty good so far.

The ending of the first left the door open for the sequel. The author of the novel penned another book ("Hannibal" for those slow guessers out there) and the response was tremendous. Thus, they looked into making a film version.
Foster was a real bitch about the production. She didn't like the ending in the book, which truly is a bit odd, so they did hefty re-writes just for her. Then she sort of just walked off. Everything was up in the air for quite awhile before Moore was hired.
I know they have already done filming in Florence, Italy and in Washington DC. Don't think they have come to North Carolina yet...but you can bet your ass if they are looking for extras I'm going to make a drive /ubb/smile.gif
Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Blade Runner, Alien) is directing and the film is scheduled to be released sometime in 2001. The teasers are out there already and are beautifully simplistic. /movietrailers2H.htm

Silent of the Lambs was such a great movie and the chemistry between Foster and Hopkins was so good- But you know who really made the movie was Hopkins- so I think this one will be just as great!
