..but will never get one ?
Okay , we all know that when a movie scores bigtime at the boxoffice the odds are big that we are faced with a sequel.
Sometimes it works and we have masterpieces like Aliens,T2,Toystory 2...and sometimes we see worthless crap like Species II,Blair Witch II,I still know what...
But of which movie do you want to see a sequel made ?
I always wanted to see a sequel of my favorite vampire movie 'The Lost Boys'.A script was made called 'The Lost Girls' but was never given a green light. Also it would be cool if there would be another 'Starship Troopers' movie.Bugs enough to kill /ubb/biggrin.gif

I am personaly against sequels coz 90% of the time they turn up shit and degrade the original.
But if i had to pick one:
If Kubrick were alive and Burgess wrote a kinda sequel to Clockwork Orange then maayybbeee it would be a cool sequel but then again very risky.
I cant think of any more..

A film which will probably never get a sequal which should have one is the Italian Job. Everyone wants to know what happened to the gold.

I wish they'd make the sequel they originally promised to Buckaroo Banzai: Buckaroo Banzai versus the World Crime League

Evil Dead IV

I'd watch a sequel to "The Two Jakes" (which was a sequel to "Chinatown") But I'd just want it to be another mystery investigated by Jack Nicholson as J.J. Gittes.

I also wish they could do a sequel to The Frighteners (probably not even possible now, though...)

Other possibilities:

Near Dark
Videodrome
Beetlejuice

Titanic 2: the Ice Berg Strikes Back!

seriously:

Aliens 5 or Aliens vs Predator (and actually write a good script for it)

Starship Troopers 2

Terminator 3 (they were going to make it, but now Arnold might be running for Cali governor)

I think the only time a movie deserves a sequel is when it was really bad.
There are as said before only a few exceptions and there are only a few exceptions that the sequels turn out to be good.
Now Jurassic Park needed a sequel, it was amazing and everyone wanted more. Good and Speilberg of course pulled it off, a good sequel.
But the Blair Witch Project did NOT need another film, bad idea.

i can't think of any that deserve a sequel.

Resevoir Dogs.

American History X - Would love to see if Ed Norton's (still can't say that name without thinking of The Honeymooners) character can keep his cool after his brother has been killed. After living with that much hate there still has to be something boiling deep down inside.

Sequels shouldn´t be made for good films....nine out of ten times it turns out to be a dissopointment after all /ubb/frown.gif

BAD BOYS 2 - With SMITH and LAWRENCE coming back.

It looks like this will never happen, even though the two stars are said to be very keen to do a sequal. SMITH is taking ages making that ALI movie, and LAWRENCE has just signed up for BLUE STREAK 2! God why?!! It wasn't all that!

Sequels are a risky if not bad idea in my mind- when "M.A.S.H." went to television, I considered that a sequel of sorts. I know it was hugely popular and still is but it's just a shitty ripoff shadow of a great classic film to me. Just my 2 cents there....

OK...
One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. It would pick up with The Cheif hitchhiking across the country. Would make a good mix-matched buddy comedy, or a story about finding one's self.

Others:
The Cannonball Run 3 (or 4?)
Flight of the Navigator
The Phantom Menace (LOL)
Office Space (At least the reuse some of the characters)
I would like to see more of the Back to the Future series - Doc's adventures through time

As much as I love Jerry Maguire, the movie doesn't need a sequel. It was perfect as it was... Anyway, my choice would have to be a sequel to SEVEN. I just watched this movie for the first time last night and again tonight and I wouldn't mind a sequel. I don't know if it's even possible, but I wish it could be pulled off somehow. I really want to know what happened to Brad Pitt in the end. Did he go to jail or didn't he? Has anyone heard anything about a possible sequel?
