Will this movie be good? I wanna see it because it has that "Make 7up Yours" dude in it. He's pretty funny.

Personally Silent Bob I think its just The Mighty Ducks with football in it...I don't think it will be too special.

Yeah, your probably right, but I kinda like football movies like Any Given Sunday and Rudy. I don't think it will be exacty "a box office smash." I think it'll debut at number four or five on the box office charts.

I think it looks kinda corny.

Silent Bob, I think The Replacements will do great financially. It's got Keanu Reeves, who for some reason (unknown to me) is a big box-office draw. Plus the trailers look funny, and I think a lot of people want to see the Make 7 Up Yours guy in a movie. Plust, in the first test screenings for the movie, the reaction was mostly positive so people will spread the word about this movie. Combine all that with a great advertising campaign and you got a blockbuster!
I think it will debut at first place with about $30 million.

I hate to say it, but the trailer actually had me laughing out loud. Could be the next Major League if done well, or the next Disney's The Big Green is not so well.
I do have a little faith in Gene Hackman, he tends to at least read a script before signing on to a movie. And I think this is a part Keanu can play. He doesn't have to be that smart or dramatic.

The Trailer was the least bit funny for me. "That's gonna leave a mark." -Keanu
Ha...ha....

I don't have high expectations for this film...but I'm still going to see it. It doesn't look terrible, but it doesn't look very good either, to me it seems to be just another average summer movie.
BTW the "Make 7 Up Yours dude" is Orlando Jones, he is also on MadTV and was in Office Space. He can also be seen in the deleted scene's from Magnolia...or so I'm told.

Well the sneak preview of 'The Replacement' was on Saturday here in Vancouver, and a friend of mine went and said it wasn't good... so... well it's still up to you to decide, but i wouldn't waste a preview ticket to see that film /ubb/biggrin.gif

I saw it last night and thought that it was so-so (6.5/10). Keanu is actually perfect for the role of the downtrodden dude getting his second chance at the big-time, and the film has a few chuckles, but overall, it is racked with cliches.
I wasn't ever bored by the film, but it didn't do much for me either.
Full review should be up tonite.

Ok, not to be stupid here, but in Joblo's review, the rival of Neo's team is called the "sentinals," which is the name of those search and destroy thingys in the matrix!! /ubb/smile.gif

I too liked Rudy. But if those damn Notre Dame Fighting Irish beat my Nebraska Cornhuskers on Opening Day...well....then it's the worst film in history /ubb/tongue.gif
