I just finished watching The Conversation by Coppala and liked it alot(Which is surprising because its mostly dialogue). I just have one question. what Harry saw and heard at the end; was it real or in his head? Was he going nuts? has anyone seen this movie.

At the end I believe Harry realized that what the man was saying was emphasizing on us, as in "he'd kill us is he had the chance" instead of "he'd kill us if he had the chance". As for the hotel room scene, I think the searching of the hotel and the toilet flowing blood is real, but the re-enactment of what happened is what Harry has pieced together in his head from what he has found.
