I remember the first R-Rated movie I saw was "The Good Son," and I thought I was soooo cool because it was 'R', and I was like, 7 at the time. /ubb/biggrin.gif

I think the first was Conan The Barbarian - that was at the drive-in.

Hamburger: The Motion Picture
Porkys 3
Rocky Horror
Goodfellas
Nightmares 3 on
Godfather 3
Jacob's Ladder
American Me
Basic Instinct
Born on the 4th of July
Beverly Hills Cop
Terminator 1 and 2
Pump up the Volume
Pulp Fiction
Unforgiven
Silence of the Lambs

Those are at least the ones I can vividly remember. Things were different when I was a yoot - the theaters weren't as bent on enforcing that rule. Then again, I don't remember everyone getting loud whenever an adult theme was presented. At least I didn't.

My first r-rated movie I saw as a kid was Escape From New York.I was probably 8 or 10 at the time.It had such a dark theme, it was kind of scary at the time. But, definetly a great flick.

Let's see...

when I was 12, I saw BEVERLY HILLS COP.
when I was 14, I saw BEVERLY HILLS COP 2.
when I was 16, I saw DIE HARD, LETHAL WEAPON 2, THE DEAD BANG, and LOCK UP.
and there were others I saw when I was 15/16 at the college movie theater auditorium next door to where I live.

I think these were the only R rated movies I saw in a theater when I was under 17.

My dad denies it to this day, but I remember him taking me to see "Total Recall" when I was about five. And I know he's lying, because I remember how the opening scene scared the shit out of me.

My brothers were 10 years older than me so I saw quite a few. But the one that I think left the greatest impression was "The Untouchables." Really good and pretty damn bloody, I was happy as hell to see it.

I came from the generation and an area when ticket sellers didn't care. I saw all the DIe Hard films and the first two lethal weapons, Platoon, and any other one you can think of. Plus I saw showgirls in theaters a month before I turned 17. But I'll never admit that in public.

I've seen plenty of R rated features in my underage days but the most memorable has to be Threesome... cause I actually had to sneak into that one.

Never did see any R movies in the theater until '98 or so; I'm 16 now). Always got 'em on video. But the first R movie I saw without having adult accompaniment was "Hannibal".

Im only 17 but I live right next to a movie theater so as a kid I remember just sneaking in to watch movies. Me and my friends used to just sneak in every time a new movie came out and watch it. We didnt care if it was a romance it was just the thrill of being able to sneak in and if it sucked we could ruin it for the people who really liked it. I mean we would go watch the movie then the next day go in and then just tell everyone the ending. More recently I havent snuck into that many movies but I saw every R rated movie I wanted to see. My parents didnt give a shit they knew I was sneaking into the theater. Why the hell is it important to see R rated films as a kid, I was watching Showgirls when I was 12. Wait fuck that last comment I watched porn when I was like 4!

BTW...Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer was the first movie R rated movie I saw in the theater as a kid. I think they had like a screening of it but then it never came out until 1990 because of the controversy but they actually first showed it in 1986 when it was first made. But I remember I was like 4 and I was watching this brutal movie that including murder and sex (rape).

Wait Henry: The Portrait Of A Serial Killer is Unrated or NC-17 isnt it. Well then I guess it would have to be Aliens.
