The World is Not Enough really stunk, and i relized that it was the 19th instalment of the 007 movies. My idea is that they make one more then call it quites. They Should stop at 20, then no more!I love the older ones, with Connery and More, especially Godeneye. But it seems since Goldeneye they seem to have lost their touch.

Bond is a movie series that will never die. Why just look at how many actors they had to play Bond through time. It is like an honor to be chosen to star in the next Bond film, very flattering. Plus most of them sell really well so it works both ways.

I am not a MAJOR fan of the series, but I stil haven't lost all interest in the movies. Like it or dislike it, Bond won't die anytime soon. (kinda sounds like a future film title) /ubb/smile.gif

The World Is Not Enough rocked. It was definitely Brosnan's best; a tad better than Goldeneye but much better than the deadful Tomorrow Never Dies.

Great acting (save for Denise Richards, of course). Great, complex story. And Pierce Brosnan is the second best Bond; almost up there with Connery.

Get Michael Apted (director of TWINE) back to do Bond 20 and I'll be especially pleased.

i thought the The World is Not Enough was one of the worst! Denis Richards needs acting lessons and i didnt think the plot was ll that great! and Brosnan is no where near Connery. My opinion of Bonds is as followed:
1. Connery
2. Moore
3. Brosnan
4. Doltan
5. That other guy that was only in In Her Majesties Secret Service

I believe the other guy in Her Majesty's Secret Service was George Lazzenby

yes, thats the guy. I heard no one liked him and the lady he married in the movie ate garlic before the love scenes!.....yummy

Moore was pathetic; especially in his later films. Do we really need a 60-year-old Bond?? And I actually thought Timothy Daltin was decent; he just got two extremely sucky scripts.

I would have to agree that Moore was the worst of Bonds, although I can't be as forgiving about Daltin. Liscense To Kill sucked so bad it was almost good. It had that unmistakable 80's feel to it (thats not a good thing).

Brosnan and Connery were the best Bond's. I thought TWINE was better than Tommorow never Dies but not as good as Goldeneye. I am a big Bond fan, so I hope they continue the series. Who thinks John Cleese will be a good Q, as a replacement for Desmond Lllewyan, who sadly died in a car accident?

As a frothing at the mouth bond fan I must say the following:

1- CONNERY WAS THE BEST. Most famous bond girl Honney Rider from Doctor No. Best film Goldfinger. Best Song (narrowly pipping all the time in the world and live and let die) Goldfinger. Most famous piece Do you expect me to talk no i expect you to die. All Connery plus he said Bond James Bond best of all.

2- Moore sucked. Cardboard acting unconvincing running and sad unfunny one liners.

3- TWINE was better than TND which is OK but Goldeneye was the best Brosnan film.

4- Denise Richards was there to look good...so good...so very go.. sorry, not to act and she did that perfectly well.

5- Lazenby was an OK bond his film was pretty dire but all the bonds have had bad films ( DAF, moonraker, view to a kill octopussy, LTK ) tis a shame he didn`t do more so we could judge him better.

6- Connery is the better actor. CONNERY - Entrapment, The Rock ( which rocked ), Robin Hood Prince of Thieves. Moore- Wild Geese. CAn you see Moore opposite Cathrine Zeta Jones with one eyebrow raised?

7- Scooby Doo was a far better Cartoon than Thundercats.

I think thats all.

James Bond is the greatest action hero...Think about it... he is the only action hero to stand the test of time... He is universally known, and he is one sauve man...He can jump of a cliff and onto a plane and never break a sweat, and still go out of his way to be the most charming man on the universe, and get the girl. James Bond is the best, the greatest. He is the one movie character that has lasted, there doesn't have to be great acting to enjoy a James Bond movie, just the fact that the man never dies is enough for me.

Ok, greatest Bond is, of course, Sean Connery. Peirce Brosnan is in a very close second though. Also, Xenia Onatopp has to be the best Bond girl ever! (By best, I mean hottest, of course).

I sort of thought they were goin to stop making Bond films because the guy who wrote them died and The World is Not Enough was the last book he wrote. I could be wrong though.

I thought that TND was Albert Broccoli's last Bond film b/c he died or something like that. Broccoli did all the rest of the Bonds films (he did something, wrote, directed, produced, something). TWINE i think was the first on w/o him, that maybe why it sucked so much. The new ones won't be as good now since Q is dead.

THANK YOU THANK YOU! I thought I was the only one who was so freakin tired of the Bond Movies! God 19 is enough! I know they're just trying to make money and everything but isnt Peirce Rosman getting a little TOO old to be having sex with all those young girls? jeez!

Bond is no longer interesting for me...where is the sex?...where is the excitement?...the tension?...it just seems so COLD now...like Bond is a robot with no feelings...it's way too PC now...they need a younger bond...someone with sexuality and raw intensity...I vote for Clive Owen of "Croupier" fame...a young Connery style influence...

They don't need a new Bond, just better writers. If they replaced Brosnan, I would definately be VERY VERY disappointed.

Here's my take on this:
Pierce already now did 3 bond movies and Goldeneye being his best and introducing him as Bond. If they replace him now it's not so much that i will be dissapointed but it's going to be weird when i see a picture of Pierce and think "this guy isn't bond anymore". It's the same thing with Harrison Ford, whenever i think of him i immediately think of Indiana Jones. It's not time yet for Brosnan to step down. Connery is the best Bond of course and look how many bond flicks he did and ppl are saying (like some of u r) that Brosnan is the next best thing after Connery. (That's my oppinion too)
I didn't like TWINE at all! But Brosnan is a good Bond.

P.S. Spielberg will make Indiana 4 with Harrison, now that i say is too old but if they do it right it might be good.

heres my take: one more Bond film starring Brosnan and in the movie he either dies, or retires and moves to Canada to slurp slurpies made from venison and lives happily ever after.

Brosnan is going to quit after the next one (possibly two, can't remember) Bond films, lots of names have been connected to the part from Jude Law to Robbie Williams (well the Bond-a-like video for Millenium was pretty funny)... hopefully they'll buck the trend of the weak villains (especially Jonathan Pryce) from the past few movies too...

I know i'm going to get some people very disgruntled by this, but out of all the Bond movies, they only reached a level of alright with a couple being a little good. I guess I say this because every Bond is the same and there have been like 600 of them. Once you see the "same" movie 600 times you really start to dislike it. The only difference in the movies were: new cars, new women, new gadgets, and even new bonds. It is preposterous! I think it is safe to say here that I don't care to much for the bond series. If some of you hate me now then wait til I start in on Star Wars. Then you guys will have a field day.

I am a huge Bond fan so this subject is very dear to me, I own them all and have seen them many times!
Bond will nevber die! (and they shouldn't kill him off either)

Goldeneye is the best Bond film Brosnan has done. TWINE was better than Tomorrow Never Dies but thats not saying much

Goldfinger is the best Bond film ever. and Connery is clearly the best Bond, followed by Moore and Brosnan I think.

Unfortunetaly they have lost sight of what makes a great Bond film. You must have a great Villain!! Goldfinger, Dr. No, Grant, Largo, Stromberg, Max Zorin!

Plus I want to see exotic locals and stylish places, Bond driving through oil fields in Turkey just doesnt do it!

"I take pleasure in the beautiful things" Thats the way he lives and the way he survives.

I'm with cow! (can't believe I just said that). Bond has been crap, crap, and more crap since it was started. It's soo damned cheesy Kraft ought to package it up and start selling it rather then macaroni. Frankly, I think it's part of the reason I loved Austin Powers so much - they take everything in James Bond that's stupid and say it like it is. Maybe it worked for people in the 70's with Sean Connery, but frankly, it's time to put Jimmy to bed now.
