Does anyone know anything about whether or not this will actually happen?

This movie blows!!! It is the worst piece of crap to ever hit the big screen. I sat and watched this monstrosity for 2 and a half hours for what can only be described as the worst movie ending in the history of time. I was so close to stabbing myself in the neck with a very very dull spoon(not that there are sharp spoons). It was a pointless crap fest that should go down in the guiness book of world records as the one movie to cause over 10 million suicides. It has to be the cause for most. I mean...c'mon! If they even think of any re-releasing of this movie, I will be forced to start rioting and blowing shit up. Thank you for your time. Take care now, bye bye then!

oh, C'mon I expected more from someone named after a great band in the great film High Fidelity, calling 2001's endinhg the wrost ever is like calling GoodFellas tracking shot "crappy and unimportant", the ending to 2001 is the most beautiful, most awe-inspiring, and best scene I have ever witnessed in any film.
I understand some calling parts of it boring but you are the first to complain about it's end, what was your problem with the Star Child???

Let's start off by saying to all those who liked this that i'm going to flop my dick on the table so you can get in line and suck it. You people are the reason for high suicide rates. Let's see...he pulls up to jupiter, and then what the fuck?!?!?!? He is in a messed up room with about 50 years tacked on to him and a messed up piece of shit rock hanging in front of him. Excuse me, art? It's complete and utter shit. It was thrown together for an early release because they proud of the effects. That's all. You have once again been dooped by hollywood. Tell me, how does it feel to once again be fucked in the ass by a shit movie. The baby is the most messed up part! It makes no sense. It's a bunch of blathering bullshit. I wish people would understand that they are artsy and a bunch of hippies. It makes no sense. It was soooooo damn long and slow. The effects were outstanding for the 60's but there is a limit and they just jump skipped and took a bus as far away from that limit as possible. Fuck you and fuck this movie. And I also hate to see good ol' stanley's name on this work of trash. Please people, grow up and realize you are old and dumb. Do us all a favor and cal kevorkian. And Big Daddy sucked to say the least. My favorite movie is either The Matrix or The Big Lebowski. What's yours? Flubber?

The Matrix is an overrated action extravaganza, anyone who calls a Stanley Kubrick film crap and anyone who likes it an assfucker yet calls a Keanu Reeves film the best ever proves exactly what kind of film-goer they are. Also no problem with profanity I use it fairly frequently but there ARE other words in English than "fuck" "ass" and "shit". You don't deserve your great name, anmed after a great film, and you need to grown an attention span. Call the film shit if you want (and get my rebuttal), but don't call anyone who likes it an assfucker (and get me pissed). Read and learn JoBlo's rules of the board, or wait are you literate?

Quentin's right on the money in his response, SonicDeathMonkey.
Please read JOBLO'S RULEZ OF THE BOARD to see that insults are something that we DO NOT tolerate on this board. We all have differing opinions and calling someone "dumb" and comparing folks to "assfuckers" ain't gonna get your point across any faster. In fact, it pretty much destroys any credibility that you're trying to establish...
Now if you want to get back to the topic at hand, 2001 and its ending, yup, sadly I sorta agree with you on that. Don't get me wrong, I don't think that it's "the worst piece of crap to ever hit the big screen", but the film did VERY LITTLE to me when I first watched it.
Mind you, I would be willing to see it again and pay a little closer attention to it this time around, but definitely don't think that the ending was "the most beautiful, most awe-inspiring, and best scene I have ever witnessed in any film" either.
The ending was ambiguous if anything, and with all of the different theories floating around about its meaning, I guess it's sort of interesting to analyze, but like many other people, I just found myself saying "huh?" when the movie ended...and I certainly don't consider myself a dink or anything.
It's deep, it seems to mean a lot to a lot of people, while others just don't get it. But I could dig that more than anybody, cause I'm the kind of asshole who LOVED "Lost Highway", a film most thought was just plain ol' crap on stick.
So what exactly is the meaning of 2001? Damn, I know there was a thread about that running around somewhere on this board...

Perhaps I express my hatred in a different way than most. I may offend people or something and for that I am sorry. I am also sorry that I watched this. It seriously is the work of a bunch of communists. It was the lowest of lows on my list and no one can sway my decision. I can't help it if a die hard kubrick fan appreciates art. I never dug movies like this that much. You know...the ones that suck. Seriously, I am done ripping on this movie. It is exausting me. I am just going to push this work of "art" into the deepest recesses of my brain and never think of it again. Nice to your guys input and I hope if they make a third one that it bombs and...well, I hope it is as good as battlefield earth. I am going to go and discuss my most hated movie next to this one...star wars.

Just a casual observation, maybe you should stay away from science fiction movies in general, because they sure don't seem to tickle your fancy... /ubb/wink.gif
