So, what'd everyone else think of this quirky little movie? I for one loved it. Some of the surrealism bothered me, but overall I thought it was very well executed and very innovative. What's your opinion?

It showed a lot of promise for the future of the filmmakers. But ultimately it left me a little disappointed. Very good first film.

I hate those fucking ants! I can't get them out of my mind! As far as I am concerned "Pi"=fucked-up ants! Great flick, but damn those damn dirty ants to hell!

I will see it soon and spit my thought later.
Liked it a lot.
Somehow it reminded me of "Eraserhead".
Great score as well.Haunting techno.
Does anyone know where I can download the soundtrack?

I liked the way that there was a lot of paranoia, and mysterious conspiracy, and how everything was so damned confusing and how it really was like a look into the main characters mind (I forget his name).

I loved it. After Requiem for a Dream and Pi Darren Aronofsky is my favorite new director.

Check out Tetsuo, if you haven't. D.A. took so many scenes from that movie it is very laughable -- although I never find any mention of Tetsuo, only Eraserhead.
Anyway, I liked the film quite a bit. It had some funny moments, and the whole paranoia thing was well done.

Once again Irene Manor has accomplished a mindmeld with Brock, you see I was watching "Tetsuo II: Body Hammer" earlier, and got to thinking of Darren Aronofsky for some reason. Very good call Irene. Shinya Tsukamoto's "Tetsuo" ("The Ironman") is one of my favorite foreign films of all time, not to mention a great Sci-Fi/"Horror" flick dealing with strange mental and physical changes within the human mind and body. By the way his film "Tokyo Fist" is also definitely worth checking out if you get the chance.

I liked it. If you can check it out on DVD, do it. The director's commentary adds another dimension to the film...

I really think this film needs to be seen a few times at least. In my opinion everything about it is outstanding. The direction is designed to really put you in Max's mindset, and the black and white adds so much oppression and grittiness to the film. This film would lose so much if it was in colour. The shots are all so sporadic and disjointed, and it puts you right in to the middle of it.
This film really grabs me everytime I see it, and I notice new things each time I watch it. In my opinion its a great piece of art, and gets you thinking. Its perfect, no special effects or anything to rely on, just great direction, acting storyline. How it should be.
I have to say its one of, if not my favourite film. I honestly can't get over how great it really is.

Low budget, college type of film. But with all Aronofsky's work, it's about an obsessed personality driven towards an unusual goal.
