His opinions on movies sound fake. All of the reviews that I've seen in the Video Capsules have been a billion times better than his reviews.

To be honest, I haven't watched since Siskel died, so I can't say much on the subject of Roeper. Anyone care to fill me in? Is he really that bad?

i think it was a ploy by ebert to get a partner that was dumber then he was to make him look better bacause everyone loved siskel more then him becasue he is also an idiot.

I think the idea is that he has equally bad taste as siskel, and therefore he is a suitable replacement
