i was wondering if anyone has had an experience were they saw a movie in standard form, didnt like it, the saw it in widescreen and liked it? I was wondering becuase i bought Wonder Boys (4.99 at blockbuster!) and watched it, and actually relly enjoyed it. I usually only buy movies on VHS if their widescreen ration is 1.85 : 1 as opposed to 2.85 : 1, this way not as much is cut off. SO anyways, i bought WB and like i said liked it, then found out the DVD is in 2.85 : 1. if i watched it in widescreen will i like it more? or does it no realy matter that much?

I don't know about it making you LIKE it more, but I prefer letterbox versions.
When you watch the widescreen version you see the film as it was intended to be presented, so it should be better than pan and scan.
Nothing sends chills up my spine so much as a bad pan. eek!

I really enjoy widescreen a lot more. It how the film is meant to be seen.

Widescreen is so much more enjoyable to watch, especially on DVD, i hate watching pan and scan DVD's.

Some movies (ie Teen comedies) don't really require widescreen viewing. But visual movies, such as Saving Private Ryan and Sleepy Hollow... It's a travesty NOT to watch them in widescreen.
