Date movies!!

hey hey, i'm trying to think of a good movie to rent tonight for my hunnie and i, and i was wondering what suggestoins you all had. i'm leaning towards High Fidelity, i think it would be a good choice to watch, i've already seen it and thought it was good she hasn't though. we're only 15 so i don't really think she's into the more classic movies like annie hall or when harry met sally. suggestions????

I second "Dogfight"... 15 year old girls just love young River Phoenix, and besides it's not too heavy of a flick... speaking of young River Phoenix and flicks that 15 year old girls might like on a "date", you might also want to try "Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade", "A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon" & "Stand By Me".

High Fidelity does seem like a good choice- humour, originality and some eye candy for both sexes. Stand By Me is great also- especially for that 'Summer of Corruption' feel /ubb/wink.gif Also, girls do go for pretty boy Phoenix and it is certainly better than the run-of-the-mill teenage movies.

If all else fails, defy convention and get a typically 'undate' movie. Your originality might impress her, you never know. Or you could go for the old tactic and get a horror film so she can jump on your lap, but then again how many films are scary enough to make you do that? /ubb/smile.gif

Good call, "As Good as it Gets" scored me points a few years back. "Fallen" was a good date flick for me too, because it was scary but not overly so, and she needed comfort afterwards.

ThereWolf has, as you can probably guess, we were kind of a deranged couple when we were together, both she and I were slightly messed up, I say "were" because we broke up a few weeks ago!

When Harry Met Sally is the best date movie ever and it doesn't matter if you're only 15, it's a movie teens can enjoy, it's a movie for everyone. When Harry Met Sally is a great movie for couples and "just friends" to watch. It's the ultimate choice.

Jerry Maguire (An excellent movie. Romantic and funny.)

Loser (This movie has cute written all over it. It was a cute teen flick with the adorable and always enjoyable Mena Suvari)

Three To Tango (This movie is very funny and romantic, this movie took me by surprise, it was very sweet)

Threesome (Not exactly a romantic comedy but it is a great movie and it brings back memories)

Never Been Kissed (I love Drew Barrymore and this movie was both funny and really sweet. The chemistry between Drew Barrymore and Michael Vartan is great.
