Charlie's angels is with out a doubt the most incredibly horrible abomination of a movie I've ever seen. Here's my case:

The flaws
1 They start and don't get into the Korn song "blind"
2LL cool J excessively rubs his head where we can see, to let us know it's only a mask.
3(Horrible PUN #1) "I hear birds can't fly at this altitude." "I hear only Angels can"
4 Instead of detaining a man they knew was strapped to a bomb, at the airport they send a chick to pull him out of the planes door. We forget that nearly half the crew and passengers was probably sucked out as well.
5 Instead of pulling the bomb off her self, Drew needs Lucy lui to make an excessively flashy( dive out of a helicopter) appearance.
6 The don't land on a large ship or land, no, on a speedboat.
7(Rip offs= Eraser-plane scene, Terminal velocity- Helicopter scenario, MI:2- Masks, and voice manipulators.)
8 Nat turns the driver's Ed. car, on it's side with only a slight turn of the wheel.
9 Nokia phone advertisement(chad scene)
10 Alex inadvertently gives away that she isn't a bikini waxer by saying some technical hoopla about dummy wires on a bomb. Who rights that dialogue!
11 Alex jumps far to the right of Tim curry's back in one shot, then in the next shot lands on top of him.
12 Thin Man shoots at the angels, and they don't duck.....they do over exaggerated mid air flips, and run along walls....to dodge bullets!
13 thin man screams like hell, and his screams continue even after his mouth is closed.
14 Why use doorknobs, when you can kick them open!?
15 (Rip off- The angels explain how to get into this computer room thingy, just like mission impossible)
16 The floor is pressure sensitive to any touch that exceeds .25 seconds. Was it really necessary to do back flips acrossed the floor? These flips did make contact exceeding .25 seconds, by the way. And if they did everything to get in, just like the two guys administrators had to, why would the floor be pressure sensitive? Did they have to do back flips as well?

There's many MANY more! I'll add soon!

I agree with everything you say. This movie sucked, especially since I was looking forward to it. The only good scenes were with Bill Murray. Otherwise, I had no idea what the hell was going on with the plot. 3/10

8/10.....Those are just mistakes, no case...MOST OF THE GREAT MOVIES HAVE TONS OF MISTAKES!!!! That just doesn't convince me...

Aw, it's not so bad. "Charlie's Angels" is actually kind of entertaining in a dumb sort of way.

I love Charlie's Angels. I give it an 8/10. So what if it's unbelievable and silly, but it's a shit load of fun. I like the action scenes, the colors, the angels, and of course...the FUN.

Do you also find it fun to stare at shiny objects for long periods of time, and eat paint chips? Because if you could honestly care less about the 1000 mistakes in this movie, then you are very easily pleased, or just blind.

Is the first point trying to suggest that KoRn's "Blind" is a good song?

Ugh, there's no need to get offensive because I like a film you hate.

What's the point in trying to pinpoint insignificant tiny little errors in the movie?

Jesus, get a life you guys.

eurocat...Whats your favorite movie???ANSWER!!!

Easily one of the funnest, most energetic flicks that I've seen in the past couple of years! I had a BLAST watching this movie, listening to this movie and forgetting all about it when I walked out of the theater.

If you want to equate the number of "errors" in a movie to its inherent value to people, check out this site called movie-mistakes.com (http://www.movie-mistakes.com/) and note the hundreds upon hundreds of mistakes in all films. I don't see the correlation at all! ( I think THE MATRIX had 130 mistakes the last time I checked...)

CHARLIE'S ANGELS was made to be a "fun" movie. If you didn't think that it was "fun", that's fine, too. But as you surely know by now, the ONE RULE that we have on our board is RESPECT (http://www.joblo.com/rules.htm)toward others, and saying that someone is "blind" simply because they disagree with your opinion on a film, isn't going to keep you around here long, young fella...

Now play nice and be cool...we all have different opinions on film and that's how life goes...

Do you people know the word 'CAMP'. That's what 'Charlies Angels' was - just like the TV original. It was played for fun, and Cameron Diaz' attitude was the attitude of the movie. C'mon, lighten up and enjoy the movie and your life.

To The Other: Sorry man, meant no disrespect.

To the Heart Collector: No, blind is not a song I like.

To Lazycouch: The piont is that I had to sit through this movie for the millionth time, and felt compeled to speak out about how truly bad it is.

To idealdiscountdude: At least 10 times actualy. At parties and with friends. Everyone loves to watch it.

Listen guys, I didn't say you couldn't like it. But it just seems that everyone is "blind" to how big of a rip-off, and terribly made movie this was. But if that's your cup off tea....by all means, drink up. I know how much you guys hate real critics but here's alittle quote From Mr Ebert: "Charlie's Angels" is eye candy for the blind. It's a movie without a brain in its three pretty little heads, which belong to Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and Lucy Liu. This movie is a dead zone in their lives, and mine. So much money and effort was spent on this movie that somebody must have been convinced they had a purpose, but I, try as I might, cannot see them as anything other than action without mind, purpose, humor, excitement or entertainment."
well said sir

You gotta love those passive/aggressive insults, eh...."sure, you guys can like it, as long as you realize that it's a crappy film"!! Huh??

Dude, there are obviously a BUNCH of people who love the movie for what it is, and don't consider it to be "terribly made" as you believe. Like I pointed out in my earlier post, every film has mistakes in it, so who gives a rat's ass as long as it accomplishes its goals? TITANIC has more mistakes than any film, so would you consider that a "terribly made" movie? Well, you might, but there are millions of people around the world who loved that shite!

As for Roger Ebert, isn't that the fella who thought TOMB RAIDER and JURASSIC PARK 3 were "all that"?? 'Nuff said... http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif

Actually, I still respect Ebert and pretty much anyone else who can put their opinion out there and back it up with their own reasonings.

yes. He also loved spykids, and magnolia, and hated fight club.
And I thought we should all respect each other’s opinions Jo. No big deal. Many people love Charlie’s angels, and many hate it. I know I loved the Drew Barrymore (true lies rip off) where she explained how she was going to escape before actually doing so! And man what an impressively agile fighter she is! She makes Jet Li look lame! GOD DAMNIT!! I can't hold back any longer!!! She looked like a confused retard on wires when she fought! They built that whole movie around action scenes taken from other movies and changed a little! They used every fucking lame ass song on the planet to ever contain the word "Angel"! Not to mention every lame club hoping techno song ever made! Scene after scene of poor action sequences that are more out of place than a fucking slug in a salt factory! Charlie’s angels the equivalent of the holocaust times ten, on fire, falling off a fucking cliff, into a never ending pile off regergated dog shit! Ya know what hell is?! It's watching Charlie's Angels in constant repetition for all eternity! Burn every copy off this shit! Burn em and bury the ashes!!!!!!.........But if you liked it that's fine.....

I'm closing this topic because it seems to be degrading into a "this movie sucks" and "this movie rocks" type of discussion and that's NOT what we're trying to accomplish with our board. Please read our RULES AND GUIDELINES and remember that insults and disrespect are not allowed on this board, and that we encourage CONSTRUCTIVE discussion.

Also, if you have a point of view on a film, please try to explain why you like/dislike it, instead of saying "it blows" or comparing it to one of the greatest tragedies in history of mankind.
