MOVIE OF THE WEEK - LOST AND DELERIOUS

This weeks new movies on VHS and DVD are:

LOST AND DELERIOUS
RUSH HOUR 2
JURASSIC PARK 3
THE SCORE

I can't wait to see LOST AND DELERIOUS. At first I only wanted to see it for lesbians and because hottie Piper Perabo (Coyote Ugly) is in it. But after seeing the trailer it actually looks like a really good movie. It's definately my top choice for the week.
Sometime I'll rent RUSH HOUR 2 but I'm not in a hurry to see it. I saw JURASSIC PARK 3 in theaters and it was stupid, I liked the first two but this one sucked. Plus it had a horrible ending that will leave you thinking "that's it"? I'd give it a 4/10 and I don't recommend it. And I'm not really interested in seeing THE SCORE. Actually, it didn't look too bad and I'll probably check it out someday. This week I'll be getting LOST AND DELERIOUS and I still didn't see GHOSTS OF MARS yet so I'll rent that too.

What will you rent?

If you've seen any of these movies what did you think of them?

I'll see Rush Hour 2 eventually but I'll mute it when chris Tucker is on screen screeching. I can't stand that guy. I work at a video store so I get to rent movies for free either before they come out or after they've been out for a month and I got in trouble at work so I couldn't rent anything until after those come out, but I'll try the Score and Rush Hour 2 in a month. I think the horror movie The Convent also comes out this week so I'll rent that one also.
I really liked Ghosts of Mars, I even have the poster. It was a very fun dumb violent sci-fi action movie. I even found myself laughing at and liking Ice Cube's character. Which is rare because I hate when rappers act. Lost and Delirious is new to me I've never heard of it. But hot lesbians are always fun now arent they.

I'm actually going to rent Crazy/Beautiful which I STILL haven't seen, I went to rent it tonite and it was all rented!

I saw Jurassic Park 3 in theatres and I loved it, it was one of the few fun films of the summer, a straight up no-brainer of a thriller.....it was pure fun...8/10

I also saw Rush Hour 2 which was a massive disappointment, I hated it....I loved the first one but this one was dull and Chris Tucker was ANNOYING....the only good thing about it was Asian ass-kicker Zhang Ziyi...
2.5/10

The Score I will rent over the holidays and same goes for Lost & Delirious....yum...I love lesbian movies.... http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif

E. None of the above

I saw Jurassic Park 3 in theaters and it was a disappointment compared to the first two, which I give a 9/10 and an 8/10, in order. JP3 gets a 5/10 or a 6/10. I agree with what you said Mike, "it had a horrible ending that will leave you thinking "that's it"?" That's exactly how I felt at the end of it. As for Rush Hour 2, I never really liked the first one so this one doesn't interest me either. The Score is not my kind of movie and I've never heard of Lost and Delerious, I'll rent Pearl Harbor from last week or some other movie that I haven't seen yet.

JP3-I saw it in theaters and LOVED it. I'll buy it.
Rush Hour 2- Saw it in theaters and LIKED it. I'll rent it.
The Score-[i]The Score? I'll piss on it.
Lost and Delerious-YUCK! I'm not a lesbian girl so I will stay as far away from the movie as I can... I'll piss on it.

Oh, goodie! Lost and Delirious is finally out! I have wanted to see that for so long. Piper Perabo is so hot and I heard she gets nude in the movie plus has lesbian scenes so I can't wait to see it.
I have seen and liked the other three. All of them are B+'s in my book. But since I have seen them they are not in my to see list until I have seen all the movies I haven't already seen.

I can't wait to rent The Score. I've been looking forward to it for so long. I saw Rush Hour 2 in theatres, and loved it. I might buy it, or rent it if I have nothing to do one day. Jurassic Park III doesn't interest me, but I might see it because I liked the first two films in the series. Lost and Delirious doesn't interest me in the slightest bit. Also coming out this Tuesday, is Hedwig and the Angry Inch, which I think I will rent due to the great word of mouth from most critics. And I will also rent The Elephant Man, which comes out on DVD this week.

This seems like a pretty good week for DVD's, so I will get the following,

I Will Buy-

1. The complete Jurassic Park Trilogy. (JP, LWJP, and JP3)

2. Rush Hour 2

3 I also want to buy Shanghai Noon, becuase it look's funny, Is it any good?

I Will Rent-

1. The Score- I was alway's to busy this past summer, so I never got a chance to see it...

2. America's Sweethearts- This look's entertaining and I wanted to catch it in theatres, but never got the chance....

I saw Rush Hour 2 and had a blast so I may see it again (8/10), and I saw Jurassic Park 3 and thought it sucked so i won't see it again (4/10). I may rent the Score only because it has DeNiro, Norton, and Brando in it, but otherwise it doesn't interest me. And Lost and Delirious I've never heard of and doesn't sound that interesting.

Can't wait till next week, when A.I. and Moulin Rouge come out to rent!

I'm such an idiot, I just realised I've been spelling Lost And Delirious wrong this whole time.

If my advice means anything to anyone, allow me to offer my two cents. While L&D does seem like an intriguing pick for this week, my suggestion is to go with RUSH HOUR 2. Just finished watching the DVD (review up tomorrow) and it's a whole mess o fun. DELIRIOUS on the other hand, isn't that much fun. For nothing else, you can freeze frame those lesbian love scenes but I would just wait until it comes on HBO or Skin-emax.

I'll check out Lost and Delirious for reasons already metioned. I already saw Rush Hour 2, The Score looked good so I'll see that, and Jurassic Park 3 might be somewhat good so I'll rent that also.

I recommend renting Following. I don't think it has been released on video here in the U.S. yet. It comes out Tuesday and is a great movie, one of the best debut features that I have seen. Christopher Nolan jumps around in the narrative in a different way than Memento. The film is only 70 minutes long but rent it before all the other garbage that is being released this week.

Oh damn it. Niether of my video stores are getting Lost And Delirious. I'm so disappointed. I guess I'll just have to buy the DVD in order to see it.

I saw Rush Hour 2 twice in the cinema. I laughed my ass off. Jurassic Park 3 sucked, but it still was okay. I really want to see The Score,so that's what I'm going to rent.

Damn, I didn't look very closely, of course I'm gonna see The Score too! DeNiro, Norton, and Brando, where can you go wrong with that?!?

I'll get to JP3 eventually, and RH2 will have to wait till after I've seen part 1.

I'll rent The Score, since it's got some EXCELLENT actors in it. Norton, De Niro and Brando all in one film? *WHEW* I've heard less than favorable reviews, but I want to see it for myself.

I saw Rush Hour 2 and Jurassic Park III in theaters. Rush Hour 2 was good, but nothing great. Jurassic Park III was alright. I'm certainly not going to rush out to buy them.

Not interested in Lost & Delerious.

I rented a whole mess of movies recently, and I know nobody cares, but I'm going to share my grades:

Crazy/Beautiful (9/10) - Unexpectedly great! This one I will be buying.
Legally Blonde (8/10) - Will be buying.
Save the Last Dance (8/10) - This will be an important film someday, because it will be the future-America's sweetheart Julia Stiles' breakout movie.
Pearl Harbor (6/10)
The Pledge (4/10) - A huge disappointment.

I've seen all but RUSH HOUR 2. Piper Perabo was excellent in LOST AND DELIRIOUS. Might check it out again. Ditto THE SCORE. Want to re-watch it for the acting since I already know the plot. One viewing is more than enough for JP3. Still trying to dredge up interest for RUSH HOUR 2. Can't stand Chris Tucker.

Horror Whore-

It's my choice for movie of the week. And the picture doesn't take 5 minutes to load unless you have a slow computer. It doesn't even take one second to load on mine. Anyway, I'm sure a lot of girls won't be seeing Lost And Delirious but I think your impression on the movie is all wrong. It's actually supposed to be really good. You should check out the trailer online somewhere. I know movies.zap2it.com has it.
Roger Ebert and Richard Roeper gave it Two Thumbs Up and Entertainment Weekly gave it a B+. You should give it a chance, you might actually like it once you get past the whole lesbian thing. I guess some people are just more open minded. Tell me, does it really bother you that much to see two chicks in love? It doesn't bother me at all http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif...

The inverse question is applicable to you...would you be comfortable watching a movie about two guys in love? To me its not a big deal (if it were done correctly) but to many its a problem.

The topic doesnt really interest me, so I probably wont rent it....

My dad bought The Score yesterday and the DVD was sorry. Perhaps it could have been a defective disk (if thats possible at all) but the rear channels were so low that it was almost mono and the video had some pretty noticable grain. Again...it could have been a defective disk. However - in terms of content - the movie is good (I give it a 7.5/10)...so you should definitely rent see it if crime movies are your thing.

Rush Hour 2 is an ass-kicking good time (good comedy and decent action) and Ive heard good things about the sound quality (it features a dolby digital EX and a DTS 6.1 soundtrack). Also dont forget that its an infinifilm release (if special features are your thing).

Jurassic Park 3 sucks ass...even if you shut your brain off at the door, it still comes off as stupid. If you havent seen it, take my word for it.

Of the 5 movies that are coming out, I considered 3 of them good...however my pick is The Following (which came out this week on VHS) from Memento's Christopher Nolan.

I agree. I don't think it sucked, though. I give it a 5/10. It's a low so-so movie and such a disappointment considering I give JP a 10/10, and I even give the critically mauled JP2 an 8/10.

It doesn't really bother me at all if it's a good movie, but I still prefer a movie about two girls in love. Anyway, I saw a movie called Get Real on TV one night, I started watching it not knowing what it was about and of course it turned out it was about two teen guys in love. But it actually wasn't that bad of a movie. A good coming of age story about finding yourself. I also saw a movie one night on TV, actually it was morning, around 2:00 AM, anyway, it was called The Incredibly True Adventures Of Two Girls In Love (I think that was the title), I saw the last 45 minutes and it was "ok". And a couple months ago I saw a movie called High Art on the Independent Film Channel and I thought it was really good, it was about two chicks in love. I'm really looking forward to Lost And Delirious, I'm sure it will be better then all of these movies combined.

I ended up renting JP3 and Pearl Harbor. JP3 I saw in theaters, but I rented it to review it for this site. And Pearl Harbor, I'll either watch tonight (Wednesday, Dec. 12) or tomorrow (Thursday, Dec. 13), I think it looks good even if it was ripped to shreds by critics and moviegoers alike http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif.
