No I haven't. Hardly anyone makes a movie in Wisconsin, although my friend did manage to appear as an extra in Tommy Boy when they filmed some of it there.

All those movies had Jennifer Connelly in them.

I was an extra in a made for TV movie called "The Way Of Duty". That was way back when in 1993 I believe!

Some of my friends when I was in 9th grade like 4 years ago were extras in that movie October Sky, they shot it here in Tennessee in the next town over. Of course, I still haven't seen that movie.

But, no, I haven't been in any movies myself.

I was a so called "Extra" in a movie called "Global Pursuit". (Last I heard they changed the name) But since I moved I have no idea when it will come out or if it has already.

Can you please describe what kind of "Extras" you were? like "The Dude" did.

Thanx

Reply to the topic please! I do not want to hear "Bingo" instead of "Have you been an Extra in the movie?"

I was an extra just walking through town on an episode of Friday the 13th - The Series. The Foghorn one. It was shot in Elmer, Ontario when I was 9 or 10.

A friend from university was in Urban Legends, the scene where Robert Englund is lecturing. She was just a student in the balcony section of the class.

All the locals from my home town played the soldiers in Last of the Mohicans, although I wasn't a member of the local historical society at that time.

I was a baby held by his mother as an extra in Sidney Lumet's 'Network' during the television studio audience scenes with Peter Finch and my momma also sat in the theatre audience in Woody Allen's 'Purple Rose of Cairo'. She's always talking about "what a lovely boy that Jeffrey Daniels is." She's just starstruck I think.

I was an extra in the crowd scenes of FOR LOVE OF THE GAME. They were filmed at Yankee Stadium during November, and boy was it cold.

But acquaintances of mine have had more luck. A buddy of mine can be seen running out of a concert hall (actually the Tower Theatre in Philly) in THE IN CROWD. Not that thriller released a year or two ago, but an '80s Philly-set dance drama made during that retro '60s kick (DIRTY DANCING, HAIRSPRAY). It never received a nationwide release and it's difficult to find for rental, so I'd be surprised if many Schmoes have seen it.

Anyway, a former boyfriend of mine has been in a few movies: BLOW OUT, DEATH BECOMES HER (in the audience of "Songbird" at the beginning), and REGARDING HENRY (he played a waiter who I think actually had a line or two). The last I heard, he was a passerby in "Sex and the City."

And this guy (I wouldn't call him a friend) from high school was an extra in THE PICKLE and MARRIED TO IT. Yeah, both crappy movies rightfully relegated to obscurity, so ha! This guy's an asshole, so I don't feel bad about this.

Hey, as for me, you can see my old Center City apartment in PHILADELPHIA. (For locals, it's at 10th and Bainbridge.) During the Halloween party segment you can see out of Tom Hank's loft window right into my kitchen and living room. I guess it's a pretty dubious honor to have my former apartment more visible in a movie than I ever have been...

I'm curious, how do you become an extra in a movie? I assume that you could look up what movies are being filmed when in what state, but where could you get such information? Is there a website?

A friend of mine on the internet wasn't in a movie but she was in a TV series, she was in Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
