Why do film companys cash in on a classic movie and turn it into a naff frachise. If a cartoon, 2 tv series and ENDGAME wasn't bad enough I heard they were going to produce Highlander 5 and who is appearing in it ? Ohhhh yes Conner !!!!

I happen to like the TV series, and as sequels go, Endgame was nowhere near as bad as HL 2 or 3.

I say, if the script for HL 5 is good enough this time around, I'm willing to give it a chance. 'Sides, Adrian Paul said himself he won't be on board unless he's got more creative control. And if the TV episodes he directed are any idication, I think the movie will be in pretty good hands. (Just as long as they don't do any SFX shots just for the trailer like they did with Endgame)

Regardless, there should indeed have been only one. But what do you want, man? It's Hollywood. The place is full of dopes.

My only problem with the Highlander sequels is that none of them followed the original story. Each sequel pretended that the last one did not happen. The fourth one was the worst. I mean the movie was good, but it completely cancels out every Highlander movie before it. It also made me mad when they killed Conner, he is the only Highlander, to hell with Adrian Paul!

The new Highlander movie is going to be Called Highlander the Source and is suppose to be directed by the same guy that directed the first one, Russell Mulcahy. It is going to be set before Endgame and Christopher Lambert is going to be the main star. Also the producers are trying to get Sean Connery to play as Ramirez and Timothy Dalton is going to be the new bad guy.

The TV series, ohh GUYZZZZ! I loved the TV series, yeah MOST of the episodes were BAAAD! But the FUNNY ones, were really good, like Lethal-Weapon-funny. C'mon! I think 4 was the best franchise... although an average movie. But why pic a title like ENDGAME!! END of the GAME... I mean i though when someone says END they really mean end! But MONEY TALKS, BULLSHIT WALKS... we 've seen it, we know about it, we be angry about it. We R gonna see it anyway... And don't pretend Timothy Dalton's comeback will not attract you, a lousy movie to have fun with some friends at night! And propably a few laughs with the LAMBERT accent!

I am a huge fan of the Highlander Series and as far as I'm concerned Adrian Paul is Highlander. Christopher Lambert had one good Highlander movie and the rest sucked except for endgame because it incorporated the tv series into it. Lambert had one good movie and Adrian Paul had six great seasons of the TV show. It is also my personal opinion that Adrian Paul is a much better actor then Lambert and portrays an immortal much much better than Lambert.

Well, as far as portraying a Scotsman goes, Adrian Paul definitely has the edge over Lambert. But what exactly does it take to portray an immortal in general? http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif

Well as far as concerning Lambert he has to have bad french accent, as fas as concerning paul, the accent is good. But not a very big acting talent here, ofcourse he could try comedy, i think he kinda like Danny Glover...

Has any body got the orginal US version video ? I live in the UK and apparently all of the European releases are basiclly just the US Directors cut and the original US release has a few extra scenes which we don't get. I think there is a scene in which the Kurgan kills another immortal in the motel, a scene when conner is in bed with brenda talking about his past and a few others.

Is this true if so is the orginal still on sale in most stores, as Im going to be in New York at the end of the month

From what I've heard, those scenes were in a select few foriegn releases (I live in the US), but otherwise have never been seen...and never WILL be seen either. From what I've heard, all the stuff they cut out, the extra fight sequence, the talk in bed, the party in the bar, all got destroyed in an accidental fire. Sucks too; some of that would make great additions to some sort of "Ultimate Director's Cut" for the new DVD they're making.

Man this series need to be beheaded!

I loved the original movie and my loyalty to the concept brought me to the theater for the other instalments but I left each time saying I would never go back.

I never really watched the series but I do not find Adrian too annoying, I do not think he is a great talent either.

My main gripe is how can we believe ol' Christopher is immortal when he looks 60 years old! Come on!!!!!!

Endgame totally blew the illusion for me, how can an immortal age!! it was crap.

If they are again going to rewrite history so Lambert can be in it they had better account for the fact he has aged 20 years.

Every failed sequel simply sucks a little life out of the great first movie. Soon no one will even be able to watch the first one.

This is the classic case of Hollywood taking a great one movie story and saying hey that was good lets milk it for everything we can.

So they rewrite history to make it work and it sucks.

If they do make another I doubt I will see it.

But I think Lamberts Awesome! I mean don't you love his voice? yeah okay anyways.

The movies Were good I thought, and some of what other people said.
