Well, i am not sure about you, but i have heard hardly anything about this film, apart from one or two internet pics and rumours, and critics getting excited by the prospect of Kubrick "in spirit" working with Spielberg.

I have heard it is sort of a Pinoccio story set in the future when all the polar ice caps have melted, apart from that i am unsure of the rest of the story, but i have heard something about a Felsh Fair, what the hell is that?

All i know is that it is really going to be a majorly talked about film right before its release, and that a load of contravercy will surround it, most people unhappy that the direction has been handed to Spielberg, but i have every faith in him, and i think he should be privileged to be handed the film by another master director, who, i have heard, was writing the damn thing for 20 years, but if you have any other info it would be much appreciate it, also, your views on a film written by the world's ultimate visionary being handed over to the world's most commercial director...

I do know that the film is based on a short story by Brian Aldiss called "Super Toys Last All Summer Long". I've heard that the novel is exceptionally good...

I'm really excited about this film. The trailer is pretty damn cool, as are most of the pics I've seen. If Spielberg can stick to the story and themes of the novel without introducing any of his trademark sentimental crap and 'stirring' monologues we could finally have a great sci-fi film on our hands.

I really like the trailer myself, i just loved the whole feeling of it. I just felt hollow after seeig it, there was no action, no tense, fast paced music, just a beautiful John Williams string section, very good indeed. I wish all trailers were as good as this.

As for the film, from the response, i can tell no one knows a crap about it.

I have recently heard of the massive effects quota of the film, having ILM working full-time to create a world filled with water. If this sounds as good as it should look, well, we are in for a treat.

I agree, i am satisfied with the way in which Spielberg is treating the whole film, with the same level of security that you would expect from a Kubrick set, and apparently, Spielberg has has Jude Law walking about the set with an umbrella over his head so that no one can see his character, very strange.
But, like pointed above, i just hope the film doesn't become too sentimental in places, which, let's face it, is in every single Spielberg film ever made.

i saw the teaser for this movie (which sucked.....the teaser). But the movie is so looking kickass! This idea of A.I. has been around with Kubrick and Speilberg for like 20 years! I can't wait for this one.

I really think the A.I trailer was superb. Quite different from that usual "show all the best and most exciting bits from a film" crap.
It was refreshing, and really made me want to see the film as there was no content, i just thought "wow".

I thought that the teaser was brilliant. Extremely sophisticated visually and great music... I also liked the fact that they didn't show anything from the film itself. In these times of tell-all trailers it's refreshing to see a trailer that only hints at what's going to happen in the film.

...i totally agree there Tuuka, as per usual.

I am glad Spielberg is keeping to the level of secrecy that Kubrick had on his films. Well done Sir Spiel.
