View Full Version : Pic a name for Episode II.....
As far as I know, the name of the Episode II of Star Wars has not been reveled.
For example, since the first trailer was release, we all knewn that the name was "The Phantom Menace".
But this time, even in the trailer, the name doesn't appear.
Then two options...... if the movie already have a name, I really preciatte that someone tell me which one is it. If doesn't, my question is......How do you call the film?
I think Joblo had some news about the Episode II title. I didn't like it but specualtion is all that is available right now.
"Rise of the Empire" was around for a long time, but that seems to have been put out of the question by Lucas. We shall have to wait and see.

How about Star Wars Episode 2:The Way of the Jedi?
Can i just say to Bart Simpson that the Jedi actually get their asses kicked to pieces in the next episodes, so it would be in no way called "The Rise of the Jedi", but, i think the title that is very unlikely - "Rise of the Empire" is much more appopriate.
...as is, as i mentioned above - The Fall of the Jedi.

They don't get there buts kicked until the third, because that's when Queen Amidala will give obi-Won Luke to protect because all the other Jedi's are dead, and she's afraid of being killed herself.
Plus, I think with 2 they are going to show the progression on anakin and palpatine, as anakin will be the emporer's body guard, and take him away from Amidala. At the end of the movie I think will be the start of the clone wars, when a whole bunch of Jedi die
It's all guess work so far though isn't it? No one actually knows anything, as almost all the rumours for Episode I were wrong.
But there still wouldn't be a reason to call the film "The Rise of the Jedi", this would be too positive for these next episodes, as Lucas clearly wants to portray the dark of that time.

When did it become so cool to dis a film legend. Star Wars is still a film legend. It defind the way movies were made in the same way Ray Harryhausen did with Jason and the Argonaughts. All these people that are complaining that it has become to comerrcial need to know that if you stop buying the crap they will stop making it. Watch the next two movies as what they are. Parts of a story. Star wars, empire, jedi, and three books Timothy Zahn were suppose to form a nine part story. These three films are the first three parts of that story. You already know how the story ends folks. Anakin becomes the spokesman for evil and quits when the boss starts picking on his kid. (I haven't read the books yet, bu they are collecting dust on shelf.) But to the real topic.
Star Wars Episode II: The Power of the Force
Star Wars Episode III: Messah Jedi's gonna die. Or Episode III: The Death of Hope
I don't really think people are dissing the films here, they are just speaking fact and parodying the whole franchise.
Isn't it a fact though? Episode I was basically there for the money, the toys, if not essensially, that is the feeling that was portrayed, especially to me.
Many people often think that Star Wars was made for the toys, that it not true, the toys were thought of a year after A New Hope was made, but then of course, Lucas realised it was an excellent way to benefit his bank balance and milked the later episodes.
It's a shame. It spoiled Episode I.

ak, hate to break it to you, but every movie is made for money. Think the Wachowskis are making the two Matrix sequels simply because fans will like them? No, they want more money from box-office grosses. Same with New Line Cinema and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
As for Episode I, I sure as hell think it's better than Spy Kids /ubb/wink.gif
And for a title, I have two, one of which a friend thought up:
Star Wars: Episode II - Tyrants of the Force
or
Star Wars: Episode II - Mandate of Tyranny
You just pointed out the most obvious point in the film industry there.
But, Star Wars created it, and thrives on it now, more than any other franshise.
The new rumoured title for Episode II : The Shadow Falls i think is very good, but, i don't think it is the actual title.
Bloomin' eck, the name of the title is more anticipated than the film!
