Im a fan of DMB, but I dont see how the song had ANYTHING to do with the film. To be honest, the film wasnt very patriotic either. .....maybe its just me,.....

I think that's because the movie stayed VERY focused on the war, and didn't have too many sappy annoying "patriotic" scenes like Pearl Harbor. I was thankful for this, too...
It got my patriotic juices going, though.

Nope the song is not in the movie fortunatley.
And ColinM, I couldn't have said it better about the patriotism topic. I think the fact so much time and money went into recreating and remembering the event is patriotic enough.

You know, I really like that song. Not a big DMB band, but I like that song. It fits great with the TV spot. It would have been great if someone decided to play that song while the credits were rolling.

That song was horribly placed. And I didnt want to infer that I wanted the film to be more patriotic - its just that the films marketing makes it seem very, very patriotic. That didnt bother me about the film (it not being patriotic) I was just pointing that out. sorry bout the mix-up.

I had a feeling going into the movie that they would play the DMB song at the end credits but when I saw the movie I was so glad they didn't. It would have totally ruined the mood of the ending in my opinion.

Wasn't Moby also playing in one of those trailers. . .or maybe that was Ali.
