I was wondering if there will be any new dinosaurs in it ? Because if you have seen one T-Rex you have seen them all ! They should come up with some new material like a plesiosaurus or a pterodactylus ! And as a bonus Richard Simmons as a caveman ;.)

I don't know if they're using it or not, but there was a great sequence in the first novel in which Dr. Grant & Co. were divebombed by pteradactyls. If you haven't read the first book, read it. The ending is much more satisfying than the film's.

Yes there will. We will see 688 other species... Yup 688, and it will focus on 3 new dinosaurs...Spinosaurus will be a new dinosaur which is bigger and badder then T-Rex( and does away with T-Rex!!...Pterandons is a flying dinosaur... and Idont know the other.

I am sure as hell excitied about this flick.

Spinosaurus.

Although scientifically, he's not bigger than a T-REX.

Yes I totally agree. I am actually in the middle of reading Jurassic Park right now. It is a very good book. I personally think it is better than the movie. I was wondering if anyone knew the exact date that the film is coming out? I went on the website but it didnt have much information at all. it said it was coming in May, but didnt have the exact date. Please if you know, tell me. I would really appreciate it! /ubb/wink.gif

I quite enjoyed the second, no way, not on a blid scale, near as good as Jurassic Park.
At the moment i am not as yet excited about this JP3.

According to JoBlo's Realease Dates, JP3 comes out July 20. I read the Jurassic Park novel right around when The Lost World had just come out, then I read the Lost World. I agree, anyone who hasn't read them should at least get the first one, the lost world isn't that great, but is still worth reading. I read JP again last august - october. For anyone who cares... Jurassic Park is my favorite movie and favorite book. One the JurassicPark.com website, there is a hour long thing you can watch on jurassic park 3 that is quite informative. They said that there will be a big fight with a T-rex and another dinosaur, I don't remember it's name though. And also there is pterodactyls, and an underwater dinosaur. I am not hugely looking forward to JP3, because there is going to be a new director and i think it is a prequel. Just looking at what they did to the JP logo, they are allready messing up things. It is still going to be cool though, Just probly not as good as the first 2. I can't wait till the trailer comes out. Does anyone know when the trailer is coming out? -Ryan

It's not a prequel, Sean, it has Alan Grant (the main character from the first JP) in it. And the T-Rex is going to fight the Spinosaurus...that should be at least a little entertaining...

I think it is a sequel to JP, but a prequel to the Lost World. This is just rumours though. I agree with the t-rex fight.

This may be diverging too far from the realm of film, but I'm gonna say it anyway.

Michael Crichton is a fucking sell-out. Who here has read the first book? A character DIES in it. That character mysteriously re-appears in the second book with, IIRC, NO explanation as to why the hell he is alive.

I can understand films changing the book for the screenplay, but IMHO if it's written down then you either need to stick to the facts you penned or explain yourself. Instead he just copped out to the greed demon.

For those interested it mentions going to this character's funeral in the last five pages or so of Jurassic Park.

I'm pretty sure they did explain it. It's been a while since i read the lost world, but I think they said he was thought to have been dead but he was just like hurt and unconscious or something. And Michael Crighton wrote the book before the movie came out so he didnt copy off it.
