What's with all the Tori Spelling bashing!!!

I was just wondering what was with all the Tori Spelling bashing? I've always heard people bitch about her and stuff and I don't see why. I think she's pretty, I really do and I don't see how most people could find her ugly... Here's a few examples of Tori Spelling bashing from Arrows review of SCARY MOVIE 2:

GORE:

A sperm geyser, a puke fest, a very long black dick, inflatable tits, a man being smoked by weed plants (you heard me) and Tori Spelling’s face.

Shawn Wayans plays peek-a-boo with his dick and us hetero dudes get Farris, Hall and Robertson in their bra and underwear. We also get a close-up shot of Tori Spelling’s crotch…is that good? I wonder if she had surgery there too?

ACTING:

Don’t even ask me what Tori Spelling (Alex) was doing in this film or what her part was all about. I don’t know or care.

That was a few examples. And I'm not mad at you Arrow, in fact I thought it was kind of funny. But I just don't get it, why does everyone bash her, what did she do to get bashed? I'm curious...

Come on, I don't think she's that bad, and I'm kind of excited that she's in SCARY MOVIE 2...

What does everyone else think of Tori Spelling???

I think Spelling is attractive. Whether or not she can act is yet to be proven. Perhaps Arrow's beef with spelling had to do with the apparently horrible job that she took in Scary Movie 2.

Well, much like myself, I think that it's a little bit of both actually. As the Arrow pointed out in his review, her part was basically just frivolous in nature, and had VERY LITTLE to do with the plot of the film.

BTW, if you wanna question the Arrow's intentions in his review...how about ASKING THE DUDE DIRECTLY...I'm sure he'd be more than happy to send you a reply and a half on that... /ubb/biggrin.gif

Yeah, Tori Spelling's been getting dissed on for years. Good thing she's not (reportedly) a b!tch, or she'd get cut no slack whatsoever.

Yes, her father has exercised nepotism (several times) instead of letting his children suffer in big, bad, Hollywoodland all alone, but Tori Spelling is not talentless. Just go rent THE HOUSE OF YES. She can act. There's at least one episode in the 90210 archive that proves this fact.

I wasn't trying to attack the Arrow, and yes it was funny but I just don't understand why she gets bashed. I was refering to everyone that bashes her, I know a lot of people, like my cousin that always bashes her and says she can't stand her. What I'm wondering is why EVERYONE bashes her, not the Arrow in particular, I was just using a few of his comments as examples... So I'm not mad at him. I just don't get what's wrong with her.

I haven't seen THE HOUSE OF YES but everything else that I've seen with her, has not impressed me one way or another. I guess my point is that why does she get the breaks, while other, better, more talented and hard-working actors/actresses spend years toiling away in the nothingland of Hollywood? Well, the answer is pretty simple and it has everything to do with her dad owning the biggest house (read: dick) on the block.

Anyway, I don't really hate the girl, to be honest with you, in fact, I think she looks kinda "okay" sometimes, and her acting talent is certainly serviceable, but don't ask me to stand around and protect the rich and spoiled vs the hardworking and neglected, cause that just ain't gonna happen anytime soo-hoon...!!! /ubb/tongue.gif

I dislike Tory Spelling. I dont think she's talented, I don't think she's charming, I don't think she's pretty and I don't think she belonged in Scary Movie 2.

I just don't like her...simple as that...

I hadn't seen Scary Movie 2 yet, but I pressumed that she was in it as a cultural reference - She was in SCREAM 2. Ya!

So about, Tori aka Victoria Davey Spelling:

I'm a big 90210 fan. I tape the show daily, and have pretty much all of the episodes cataloged. (Hm. I feel how gays must when coming out of the closet.) Anyway, we play a drinking game with it, and one of the rules is to drink heavily when Donna (TORI SPELLING) wears something unflatering, or is in an unflatering shot. We get pretty loaded whenever she is on screen....

Anyhoo - My only beef with her is that she appears very fake. Her cleavage is all stretched apart from her boobs beings perked up so much that they appear like two magnets repealing one another. Her butt looks as if it where drawn on with a bold magic marker - very obvious when she wears those too-short shorts. Her nose is unexplanable to me.
None of this would have been an issue, had I not watched it happen. You can see drastic, um, alterations in her physique from season to season.
Do I think she is only famous because of her father? Sure I do. The same could be said for our president, Michael Douglas, Kate Hudson, and so on....
Does she have talent? Well she was belivable on 90210...... Whatever that means.

Apparently her performace in the movie TRICK was very good, but I wouldn't know. Has anyone seen it?

WOW, I think she looks sexy in that picture.
And I can kind of see where people are coming from but their are much worse actors and actresses out there than her. An example of a very bad actor would be Casper Van Dien, I cannot stand him and he can't act for shit.
And about her only being famous because of her father! That's probably true, I'm sure he did help her get into the business, that's cool, she had connections, I wish I did... But if she's only famous for a family member helping her get into the business, than that can also be said about Angelina Jolie, and yes, Kate Hudson (although it's her mother).
I know she's definately not a brilliant actress, no way in hell. But she's not that bad either... I think it might be her voice that makes her acting sometimes seem fake. Plus, I wouldn't call her a rich brat that gets all the roles. In fact, she barely gets any roles. Every once in awhile she'll be in a movie and most of the time it's not as the main character, or it'll be a "little" movie that's straight to video or gets a limited release. I think if she was in a bunch of movies and making a ton of money I might find her annoying and not like her. But she pretty much keeps to herself, it's not like we see her in a new movie every day or on a new magazine cover each week, that never happens. So she doesn't bother me as much. It really bothers me when an actress is really big and on the cover of every magazine and has a new movie coming out almost every month, then I get pissed. But Tori Spelling isn't that big or annoying, so I don't mind seeing her in a new movie every once in awhile... I would say I dislike Britney Spears more than Tori Spelling. And yes I think Britney Spears is sexy, and some of her songs are kind of fun and you can't help but catch yourself singing them every once in awhile, but I hate seeing her everywhere. That kind of makes me mad and I get so sick of seeing her and I wish all the damn pop singers would drop from the charts and people would stop buying their damn albums, I hate them. They are so sickening and their is so many of them, just die down already. Damn Backstreet Boys and N'SUCK, I can't stand them. Now I'd say they are WAY more annoying than Tori Spelling who only pops up every once in awhile (And I don't mean that in a sick way)...

I was tricked into seeing Tomb Raider by that temptress! I've never seen a bad movie just because Tori Spelling was in it.

I agree with you Irene... I saw Tomb Raider mainly because Angelina Jolie was in it and it looked kind of fun. And the movie sucked, it was sooooooooo boring. But overall I do like Angelina Jolie... She was pretty good in a little movie called FOXFIRE...

But anyway, when TOMB RAIDER was over I said "I hope Angelina Jolie is happy that she got all these people to waste their money on this piece of shit." Since a lot of people saw it because of Angelina Jolie. We were all suckered on that one...

God, the girl is the most plastic looking thing I have seen (next to Pamela Anaderson) and it does NOTHING for her.

I think people bash her because they are all jealous of her. It's as simple as that. They hate the fact that she was fortunate enough to have a very priviledged childhood and a famouus father, but yet those are things that most of them wished they had. They hate the fact that she's had plastic surgery, but yet if they had the money then they would do something like that if they wanted to. They might say that they wouldn't, but they don't honestly know that. People hate her because she's not fuckin Meryl Streep but yet so many other people get praised for their acting and they can't act any more than she can. There's pretty much no reason to truly hate her. She's done nothing personal to anybody, and I think that most people just say that they hate her because they want to be like everyone else. Basically, that's it. People might say "no that's not it at all", but deep down inside- they know it is.

In my opinion, she's a mediocre actress, better than most people. She looks alright. She is by NO MEANS ugly. I find that most of the people that hate on her are actually A LOT uglier than she is. She doesn't really bother me.

I don’t dislike Tori Spelling because I think she is pretty harmless. However the person who should be shot is her plastic surgeon. If you look at the first series of 90210 she wasn’t a stunner but she was kind of cute. Then some God-awful butcher took a scalpel to her and turned her into plastic woman. The guy that did her breast enhancement should be struck from the register for giving her that lovely Grand Canyon cleavage. I also think that her acting is not that bad. She is bit saccharin sweet though. Still as I said she is harmless and seems a pleasant enough person.
