They got great, totally inspired casting with all Brits cast: the adult cast is huge -- Rickman, Maggie Smith, Juliet Walters and Richard Harris. It is unlikely that all of them would screw up at the same time, so at least the acting will be good. The kid playing Harry was quite good in David Copperfield.
The set has the Gothic feel to it. The big question is, of course, will Chris Columbus pull this through? Still, it can't suck too much.
P.S. If you haven't read the book, you may as well wait for the movie because there is a twist in the ending.
