hey sup people
i'm new and i've been reading some posts for a couple of months
and alot of people download movies off the internet just wondering if doin that takes up alot of hardrive, cause its the familys pc
and they'll get pissed off
i know its allegal
and i'm not a spy

I you are downloading off a peer-to-peer file sharing system then it's highly likely that what you are downloading is a VCD (if it says divx than it definately is). this means it is either meant to be written to one CD or normally to two, This means it can be up to 1.5GB which is quite hefty but if you have a cd writer you can simply burn it to cd and delete it off your harddrive. then you've got the download times to think about, on a 56k modem it'll take longer than 24hrs! and on a cable modem your still talking 5 hrs.

New movies are probably 150-200 megs each file, so some 400 megs for the whole thing.
Doesn't take too long with a cable modem. I got a bunch of the "best picture" nominees yesterday to catch up.

A good place to get movies from the internet is by using the programme MORPHEUS. It's really good and you'll get the movies you want.
